Gojira are a perfect example of why metal doesn't need to be extremely complicated (guitar at least) to sound amazing. Gojira literally build their songs from dynamic rhythm.

@@FartSniffer1 I kinda agree and don't. I think a lot of Gojira's most popular songs are that popular because the guitars are so good. Stranded, Flying Whales, Oroborus, etc. have super catchy riffs. Not only that but Joe's voice and vocal lines have become way better since the more recent albums.

And Mario is the fucking duck's nuts. Kinda gay, but I love this dude, man... He is everything that is fucking awesome about drumming and metal. Gojira are the newest legacy band of the last 10 or so years, up there with what the Big 4 were in the 80's. Except I dunno who else is there with them from the last decade. They seem to be to be up there alone, at least for me anyway.
