It could've been. I know myself with my awful attention span I tend to air drum, doing the left and right movements just as a fidget helped me to learn double bass like that at least good enough to learn the chorus of "Nightmare" my first day or so playing it.

Bought my Alesis DM5 used back in 2012 or so, still have it and I still use it to this day. Mine was produced back in 2004 so going on 17 years + it's been through hell and back with me I guess you could say it's quite an unbreakable piece of technology

OMG I used to have the DM5 about a decade ago. I sold the kit because I really didn't have the room for the thing. If you want to relive some (potentially bad) nostalgia, I have three videos of it.
