One small thing I want for Crypto is reduction of time it takes to manually pilot the drone. Right now it takes 1,5s to enter the drone view, that's 1,5s of waiting added on top of the time it takes you to pilot the drone somewhere. Lowering it to 0,5s would make it easier for Crypto to react to things, and would help a tiny bit with catching up with your teammates.

Lower the cooldown of his drone, let him move it like Vantage's bat, give him a proper passive, the ability to EMP while his drone is sheathed, and let the drone follow him above and behind his back for constant in-combat scanning. He's literally only a guy with a gun without his drone.

I just started to main crypto again and I got to say I love playing as him. But you do need the right teammates to make him work at his best. The thing that people don’t utilize as much is crypt can show how many squads are in the area. That’s very helpful especially in ranked in kings canyon. I’ve saved my teammates so many times warning them there is 5 squads nearby so they don’t push or do something stupid like try to snipe on a roof of a building. Using his drone to pick up banners is a blessing since from my experience a lot of people camp death boxes. And the instant revive on a beacon is great too. I think being able to loot in his drone would be nice.

The area where enemies squads are revealed is the one around crypto not the drone. And when you have good teammates scanning enemies is great but the farther up you are the harder it's to spot or hear the drone. And you can still see people moving far away which you can just speak to your squad about it.

Just got to diamond using Crypto, he’s really good for ranked. Another tip is to use the drone like a bloodhound scan. Every fight just throw it up. Recall it instantly if you don’t engage, or if you’re shooting each other keep it up and they won’t be able to shoot it down while pressuring them. Then it turns into constant scans

For me my idea for the drone buff is , reduce sound base on SPEED meaning it can be used like an auto sprint, if floats no to little sound but if its zooming across the map okay hey theres a drone coming , increase a health back to 60, when out of drone you should be able to see the enemies through the banner with a button instead of being on drone, stun lock abilities for 3.5 seconds, and give him more suits

I think the biggest issue with Crypto is that his drone’s biggest immediate quality - the sheer range - is useless. He’s such a defensively oriented scout on account of the drone’s design that it just becomes untenable to try to constantly find value with it outside of droning things you can already hear. I feel like giving him a second passive that rewards using the drone passively - say, being able to pick up ammo or meds and deliver them to teammates - would make droning for longer a much better idea, and allow for a squad to play slower and take the fights it wants to.

I feel like Respawn has a hard time gathering player data on Crypto to use in figuring out what to do with him. Because on one end you have a handful of die hard players who are good at the game and try to push the limits on what his kit can do. Then you have the other extreme which is players that are not so great and feel like the best thing they can do for their team is hide behind cover somewhere and fly the drone around. That's going to make the overall statistics when compiling all this data practically useless. The big problem with just saying "look at the pick rate, he sucks, buff him" is that if you make a change that allows for super fast paced easier EMPS and scans. It might be really helpful for a novice player to be able to keep up with an aggressive team, but the top tier three stacks will do what they always do and abuse the hell out of it until he gets nerfed.

Crypto is such a good legend that doesnt get the respect he deserves. Especially since he can throw out the drone without going in, his kit just takes thought to use efficiently. what ive liked doing is throwing out the drone around corners in a 1V1 to throw off my opponents. They typically focus the drone and it gives you that sec you need to get around their other side and finish the fight. Its also useful if you're running away and can drop the drone on the side of a door or above and emp the chasing team, giving you some time to run or heal

In a tight spot I like to use my drone as a security camera to cover blind spots I hide it in area that won't be seen very easy and I can get people walking past it and get the alert before they get to me and the sound will distract them so I can reposition but yes I agree with this whole video.

I think that A characters viability is determined by how viable all their abilities are. characters like wraith have useful pas/tac/ult, because all are inherently easily useful, especially a passive that just automatically does something. the weakest characters all have weak passives, pathfinder being the only exception because his grapple is so broken in general. so to balance characters with weak passives they have to either buff the passive or OP buff a tac or ult. Crypto could either move the drone more easily like vantage and have less emp buffer time, or they could enhance his passive to be inherently useful. a good passive would be that he becomes untraceable by all the scan legends, cant be seen from above by valk, cant be scanned by bloodhound, cant be heartbeat traced by seer or scanned by the micro drones either, doesn't appear in fuses ult. etc etc.

what i like to do is predict to where a team will rotate to mid fight. once i predict, i attatch the drone to the wall in an inconspicuous location that can still scan people when they pass by or walk through. once i chase them into that corner where my drone is and see the enemies scanned prompt pop up i hit the emp and then push them to where they feld to. almost like a cctv/sam turret but for emp

As a heavy crypto user on PC i agree with a lot of these. I'm not sure about the crypto emp not stunning teammates coming back. It was mad broken and games were so fast it was ridiculous it would make a pretty annoying emp meta imo. I still want a crypto ability to hold my drone while moving to slow decent. One tip i have for people if you are trying to take height and have a movement legend or a Zipline, emp the team on height in a way it won't hit you. Easy push and wipe. Crypto having some kind of incognito passive would be cool and being to ping beacons if the drone is out without having to be in the drone would be amazing. Finally reduce cool down on his tac by half

Destroyed his ult and took their shields off. Definitely an underrated legend but takes time to develop good skill to effectively use crypto

i'd like to shorten the going into drone time and being able to emp from yourself without a drone. So you're not completely useless when your Drone gets shot. And the Game is getting faster and faster that waiting to get into the drone to look at banners when there is nowhere to slide to takes up way to much time. Also given how much effort Cryptos Scans take piloting the drone there is no reason why his scans shouldn't be unique. Scanning HP Bars oh that's Seer. I Thought maybe squad size or shields, but they gave that idea 3 weeks later to Vantage. Also less Drone noise and maybe 30 sec CD until we get a passive would be nice. (also 2.5min E.M.P)

Hmmmm the pilot part of the drone is actually very useful in my opinion. As for what I think they should do is make 2 ways u can use the drone the pilot way we have, and the auto proximity search that we can toggle between. When in pilot mode we can still control the drone like usual, but when in proximity mode the drone can have 2 separate ranges one close and another medium range around(probs around a 3x times scope range). Then there's the issue of the drones health it can have a shield equal to the one you have on you. That can only be replenished either by having it regen shield overtime or have it fully replenished after it was destroyed and done with cool down.

Also they need to add an indicator that you and your alleys can see that indicates that your in the blast range that only appears if the drones out and you have your ult ready. Plus have a ping that can say your gonna ult if u don't have a mic. Plus lower the opacity of the drones circle sphere around it is an easy giveaway and increase the range the drone can scan from.

Personally i think crypto main problem besides not being fluent is scanning. His lack of information to his teammates and himself hurts him. The only way I can see his kit working is if it was setup like echo from rainbow 6. If he could leave his drone in a good spot and constantly be able to scan while the drone has vision, would give him a better chance.

You know what would be a fun buff? If Cryptos drone could shoot little electric projectiles when on a wall. Not when while crypto is on the drone tho, that would be annoying. But if it's like a wall sentry, it would be pretty fun. Could also tie in to Watson and Cryptos relationship

If Cryptos drone did damage running into legends it would be like the BF3 days when you could go 150-0 smacking your MAV into everyone lol

I mean crypto, lifeline, mirage, an revenant needs some work. Crypto should be able to move his drone around like vantage but also a cool down with time shaved off his ult. Lifeline should be able to drop her tactic while also letting teammates use kd shields while reviving an the tactic should start healing up health before revive is complete. Mirages tactic an ultimate should be able to shoot blanks. Revenants ultimate should only be able to be seen by enemies that has took damage from him or his teammates in the last 30 seconds an not be able to be used or destroyed by a 3rd party but only by the said opposing team. An if someone is watching his ultimate he should be able to make his team an the opposing team they are fighting aware of the 3rd party Just my opinions.
