I saw someone do it this way and it turned out good so I searched until I found a video doing it that way. By the way it's spot welds not spot tacks.

In the metal industry, it's a standard to NEVER make a corner in a steel insert due to the propagation of cracking at corners. Furthermore a straight cut, beveled and butt fitted would have sufficed. But you guys did pretty clean work.

To be honest these trucks take a week start to finish and I do one every week and don't have a Camara the video done by my cell phone and don't have time for my wife to hold the phone the whole time we gotta knock them out
