After seeing there version of the little mermaid and the jaws ripoff legend of dinosaurs and monsters birds (even though their not really dinosaurs or birds) I don’t know if toei wasn’t and great live action story.

My theory is that King Kong escapes takes place before King Kong vs Godzilla and that’s why Kong is smaller

I'm really hoping that in the future maybe the Criterion Collection or Arrow Video could get the rights to film and give it a new Blu-ray re-release with a new 4K transfer and include both the English and Japanese cuts of the film It would be really cool to have the Japanese cut of the film be released on Blu-ray in North America.

The Toho King Kong Movies And King Kong (1976) Are My Favorite

I first saw this film during the early 1970's. Mekani-Kong is an awesome monster villain. The Kong suit, itself, always made us laugh, but his action scenes always overcame the suit. Dr. Who is a superior villain, for any genre of film. The cast is full of Toho stalwarts, including Takarada Akira and Hama Mie, who are great as always. Rhodes Reason is one of the few American actors, in a Toho Daikaiju film, that is really good. Linda Miller is cute as a button. It is a shame her voice was dubbed for the English version. While I am here, here are some critiques of your review. First, learning how to say Japanese words correctly isn't that hard. Listening to you made me cringe, like I always do when watching the English version of King Kong vs. Godzilla. I think everyone can relate, based on how they said "Hokkaido" *CRINGES* As for the little history part (this one started this one, which started this one, etc.). WRONG!!! Tokusatsu is just a descriptor of a genre of films, that use science fiction as a plot device. Super Giant (which I watched as Starman) began in the late 50's He has more in common with Power Rangers than Godzilla does. As for anime....smh...WRONG!! Mighty Atom (aka Astro Boy) was in manga form two years prior to the release of Godzilla, while the anime started in 1963. Now yes, there have been many Daikaiju depicted in live action and manga/anime, but most have their own origins, not tied into Godzilla. I think your review, overall, is good. You think it's eh. That is fine! That is what reviews are for. To let others know what the reviewer thinks about the subject. I think I will go and watch some of your other reviews. She what I like.
