Great job on all the sewing. My husband and I are starting on our retirement project - restoration of my first car - 1967 EZ Camper velvet green, jalousie windows. Has all the insides in good shape except lots of mouse turds I am sure. Has the front seat hammock and the large tent (again if the mice haven't decimated it), Will have to replace the nose panel and other body work,some engine work, windshield motor, etc. Had it since 1977. Been in the garage 35 years. Wish us luck. We won't be doing it all on our own. Wish you lived in our neighborhood. Loved your buses by the bridge videos.

Clean looking bus. You should take it to Kelly Park. I took my 62 rag top with 6 volt 40 hp from northern Oregon down after restoring it 12 years ago. My folks lived in San Jose years ago and I’d always plan on visiting them around Kelly Park weekend and finally my Mom asked if I was there to see VW’s or them and I said she shouldn’t ask that question. Always enjoy and learn a lot from your videos!

Your machine , like mine only offers a 3mm stich when 4- 5mm would be much better ,,As you say, gotta work with what we've got Kind regards Alex

Yea Mine goes up to 5mm but it wont walk over really high stuff. the presser foot is kind of low unlike a triple feed machine. Then it wont feed the whole 5mm stitch so it is feeding less than it is set up at on the vinyl.

Hey Mike, where did you buy the wood headliner? I am helping a buddy with his westy and his wood is cracked and we looked behind it and there is mouse poop and stains from them pissing all over it. We can use it as a template but I don't know where to buy the wood or how to cut it. Awesome build!

they make Baltic Birch, european, 3 mm, and 5 foot wide -- that is what you can start with, but it's gone from 25 a sheet to 170 due to the war and supply chain issues. US material is 4 foot and the grain pattern is different, like E to W vs North to South.

no the cabin was grey and the back was that gold yellow color. Original was mesh grey but I dont have any of that vinyl.

@@Mikefngarage and Wolfsburg West jumped prices 35-50% on seat covers...think it is close to 600 by the time you buy foam, vinyl and ship it east.

@@DanTheManIOM yea you can easily make the foam parts but everything cost lots more money. It is a little less if you see how I build out the seat frames.
