What an impressive piece of equipment!! Almost 2300 ft/lbs of torque paired with the weights and strains put on the tractor means the engineers really needed to elevate the quality of everything. Look forward to seeing more of this big Fendt working its magic!!!

This is a modern marvel. I have to say the engineers perform a great feat in how they're placing more and more horsepower into tractors that are not as large as the tractors of the 1970s. Thank you for the video.

Now if they could just do the same to pickups as well. We got the extra horsepower but now the 1/2 ton class is the same size as the 1 ton of old and the 1 tons are almost as big as the 2.5 ton class. It's crazy how big trucks have gotten. I used to my F250 supercab was too long and then I got a 2500 Megacab. Less room in the bed but overall bigger and tips the scales at a ton more than my old F-250, which was also a diesel.

Last year I worked on a farm that had 2 724 fendt tractors. 1 was a brand new model with the fendt one system. We did everything with them. No till kinze corn planting, then pottinger triple rye and hay mowing. Baled big squares with an 890xc krone baler. Then hauled corn silage with Meyer and Agtech 24ft silage wagons. Very well designed tractors and easy to operate in any conditions.

I have not heard of any company making a tool bar beyond 60 feet. Also wider implements tend to fold up wider. 15ft is a good size in this area of KY to move implements. 19ft is about the max you can move here. This farm runs 5 24 row 60ft corn planters so the 60ft passes line up well.

I have wondered why NH3 is not injected into the soil during planting as it would eliminate the need to inject it separately.
@bigtractorpower
@bigtractorpower 2 жыл бұрын
NH3 is put down about 10 days ahead of planting because it can dissipate in the soil. If the corn seed is put in with the NH3 the newly sprouted plants will get burned by the higher concentration of fertilizer around it. By spacing it out it allows the plant to draw on the fertilizer through out the season.

He wanted to try the Fendt and get some hours on it and see what the 1162 was like vs jumping to the 1167. He liked the Fendt allot and decided that he wanted the extra hp of the 1167. I have to look it up but I think the 1167 can achieve 690 hp in tough conditions. The 620, 640 and 670 hp machines are all very similar in what they can pull.

Just fyi, the 692 from the case is boosted power and just as deeres it only comes free when certain conditions are met (hence y both the case 620 and jd 620 have 620 RATED hp). Whereas fendt tractors do not rely on these sort of conditions, their hp rating is their hp, there is no 'boost' in fendt tractors. Also personally i feel like almost 700 from a 12.9 is too much hp/L decreasing reliability (its not a secret case 620 are more likely then jd 620) Plus 2200rpm on the 12.9 to get its power?? Thats loud. Id take higher displacement and less rpm over less displacement and more rpm any day of the week. (Jd and fendt seem to think so too) Curious to see what the case 720 prototype that has been leaking will do. That probs has the 15L ftp.

Even though 1167 Fendt has a 673 hp engine, Mike Mitch from Southern Saskatchewan did a drag with this tractor and number of others pulling a Degleman Pro-till in a dried up sloo were it pulled real hard in heavy clay. He times each tractor and a used 9520 RT John Deere with 4000 hrs on the clock just about bet the 1167 Fendt by 2 seconds! So goes to show you can have as much power as you like, it’s if you can get that power to the ground is what matters! The loaner program is nothing new from AGCO, they had it 16 years ago on a AGCO brand tractor. So when you buy a Fendt your paying a lot more for them cause you paying for 3 years of service at the time of tractor purchase. Most farmers prefer to doing the service themselves.

And why didn't you mention that the Fendt outperformed a 9620 RX? By the way, the 1167 has the same pulling power as the 1162 because it is limited by Fendt. The 9560 RT was impressive indeed.

Has it, "Derated " yet? because once it gives you the DEF codes it completely shuts down the tractor & there isn't a override the dealer can do so you can still use the tractor, you will be left sitting until agco sends you the new part which take 4 hours to install best solution as soon as the 1167 gives you the first warning the sensor is bad order the part it happened to our tractor 3 weeks ago &now our neighbor literally today. Love the 1167 but the issues popping up even though covered by warranty are unnecessary they could have been fixed by AGCO years before

The 620 tops out at in the high 600’s put can not be run full time beyond. All of these big modern tractors do not put all their power to the ground. At least 20 to 30 hp goes to running hydraulics. In three years time a 600 hp tractor will be considered mid sized. The hp game is about to see some major changes.

@@nickhunt811 These tractor's engines only put out their maximum power under specified circumstances. For example under heavy pulling load concurrently with hydraulic or PTO load. Some call it Power Boost (Deere, CNH). Fendt generally does not have that, but the 1167 is limited a bit in pulling power to the same amount the 1162 has. So the delta of hp can be used for hydraulics or PTO.
