Your videos have helped me a lot especially in the way it renders. A bit like Adobe Premier Pro. Once I got that, I can finally clean some of sequences as something was missing and I didn't know why. Kudos for this video. Helpful as per normal.

this was very helpful but I have a question- I have probably 30 or more of your sequences and your older sequences certainly have a different view so would I make a view for each sequence

That depends on how much time you want to put into it. If you are simply mapping then I don't see the need. A model is a model. An effect is an effect.

One of the problems I have with importing models using this method is the naming conventions. I have all my groups named one way, similar to what you use but still different. I've got a sequence from another vendor that uses a completely different naming convention so that when I import their models and groups now I have even more groups in the layout with their names. If I did this with say 4 vendors the group list would be extremely long. What I ended up doing, they had a sheet with all their groups. I then copied all the group names that i would use onto a text file then went into my groups and created aliases for my groups. A bit tedious but I have no life and I don't like uber long lists. Of course not all vendors supply a list of their group names that I know of. Is there an easier way of doing this?

Easier way? Not yet. You are already using Aliases so that would have been my first suggestion. I th8nk we will see improvements over times as we always do.
