Wow that wall not breaking when the strap came loose is a testament to how strong you made it 🎉

Thanks Brian. It surprises us sometimes what we manage to get done.

Looks really good. What are the overall dimension...about 24x30 or so?? My wife and I build an off-grid cabin on Lake Kagawong when we first got married in early 2000s but have since sold that property since we moved into the Parry Sound region. We still love the island and have very fond memories of being up there!

The shop will be 30'x40'. We will be sharing the space so we needed something bigger. The house is 24'x40'. 100% solar powered, wood heat, and a drilled well.

Just wondering why you would ever leave Manitoulin Island?

Manitoulin - Off Grid - It was an off-grid seasonal property. We lived down in southern Ontario at the time...likely very close to where you moved from!

Manitoulin - Off Grid - That’s the perfect size shop. It’s amazing how a person can still fill a building like that when you start parking a few pieces of equipment, boat, trailer, etc inside for the winter!
