Hey Harry You snuck these two videos in under my radar. I just got to them. Great job on the doorhandle. Don’t ever think that your videos go too long. Thanks for making the video on the fender, Sometimes I have the tendency to overthink things😂 Thank you again, Tom

Hi Tom, I do have a tendency to overthink things. I keep changing my mind, I'm driving myself crazy. Lol. Now I'm doing flush windows on the GTO. I actually found someone to paint for me. So that's going to give me a deadline to do all the body work. Thanks for commenting and watching. All the best

Nice work. I will be doing this on my 68. I’m running a 245/45/18 and I’m rubbing. Thanks for putting this video out!

Thank you. Yeah. I knew I was going to run into the same problem. That little detail will give your tire enough space so it doesn't rub. All the best

245/45/18 is a 26.7" tall tire. Im running a 275/35/18. Its 25.6 tire. Im doing this same fender opening mod. i want to put a 295/30/18 up front. To Stay in the 26" tall tire area for more clearance around the fender. But need more clearance while turning the wider tire. You can add clearance front and rear with a smaller diameter tire.

Did you ever find the headlight brackets/backing plate???
@classicrewind2715Ай бұрын
I found the guy in Pennsylvania that was selling a pair. They were from a 69. Really nice with the headlight Trim in Springs. It looks like they were painted early on. Not original paint though. Which is fine, no one sees them anyway. Thanks for watching..

Great work Harry. Dumb question, after tacking the metal, could you remove the fender? Just to make it easier on you. So you could put it on a work bench? Of course, this is assuming your tack welds will hold when you unbolt the fender.
@classicrewind27153 ай бұрын
Thanks for commenting. Yes, I could have taken it off after I tack welded. You would have to take the hood, inner Fender unbolt the Rad Support. So a lot more work would be involved. Trying to minimize taking the car apart. I lost track how many times I took the car apart, LOL. All the best.

Nice, are you still going to use the wheel arch trims?
@classicrewind27153 ай бұрын
Thanks, No, I'm going to eliminate the trim. All the trim on the car actually. I'm getting ready to make my windshield and rear window flush mounted. Thanks for commenting. All the best
