Nice work on the garage walls, the weathering looks perfect. Love those stories, always great to find an easy and cheap solution to an expensive problem. When I was a kid thongs were worn on the feet. 😀

I had a thought on the truck, probably a stupid idea because it looks fine as is. but but if you cut the cab off, leaving an 8' windshield and make a wing for over the driver out of the top section of cab? The sand pie? surf cherry? is looking awesome. Mutagen has to be one of those old body and fender tricks. I can think of a few times where it would have saved the day, or at least an hour or 2 of it. lol There was an old guy in our shop that kept a couple of the "unbreakable" combs dissolved in lacquer thinner that he used as spot putty. He was one of those old school guys that had been doing it ever since the lead and body file days. I agree about the Munster's should be kind of black and white I'm glad you liked the parts, I knew you could use them. should save you a bit of time as well
@glensmodels3 ай бұрын
Hey red your idea on the truck is a good one but I have a bronco that I'm planning on doing something like that with so thanks for the suggestion you got me going on that the sand pie or surf cherry is coming along pretty good and the thing about mutagen on full size car is it more waterproof it will hold back rust longer but it has a terrible smell so if you use it use a lot of ventilation the melted down Combs that sounds different I've never heard of that but that's definitely old school and yeah I believe the since the Munsters were in black and white I got the shop painted mostly black and white now interior walls and it does look cool thanks for the comment buddy and for watching appreciate it also thanks for those little tiny parts they make my life easier later buddy Glen PS now that I think about it surf Cherry don't sound too bad does it
@Reds_Scrapyard3 ай бұрын
@@glensmodels I'm glad you could use the parts. I figured they could save you a lot of time. I would have sent some of the axles but scratch built looks better, the ones that come with that file pack look like they are 4" or more in diameter.
