A tip to string your beads without the risk of losing them at one end: cut your wire to the desired length (add about 4-6 inches on each side to be safe), then use a piece of scotch or masking tape either towards the middle or a few inches from one end of the wire to affix it to the flat surface you are working from. This way, if you decide to change the pattern or correct a mistake, you will have the option of doing so from either end of the wire without restringing all the beads.

I make wire Rosaries with the eyepin on the end of each bead, but I've never seen a Rosary made like this. I love how these are made and they take less than half the time for such a beautiful and unique Rosary! For people who make Rosaries they know that there are endless kinds of beads they can use from glass beads to jasper beads to flat beads to flower and butterfly shape beads....the beads are endless. I must make a Rosaries using this method for gifts. Thank you for making this video and sharing how to make these!

Thank you for this video. I love rosaries and rosary-stye necklaces and I want to make sure I am doing them right. I personally prefer the rosary chain links, but they are very time consuming and take a bit of a learning curve. This is an excellent alternative. For those who do want to cut off the wire in one large piece, there are bead stoppers for the other end. Thanks again.

I have been doing bead crafting for about 7 years now, but I have never made a rosary. A lifelong friend asked if I would be willing to make a rosary for her. This was over 1 year ago. I did attempt to get the necessary parts for it, but I was never happy with the things I found until recently. My biggest stress was still to come. I had no idea how to do it and all the instructions I found (until I found this video) involved eye pins, which I really didn't want to have to use. Your way is so much cleaner and finer looking. Much more class and tidiness. The only thing I still need to get is the crimping tool and the crimps themselves and I suddenly feel VERY confident that I will make a rosary for her that she will always treasure. @@sharonerichamilton3675 none of the colors matter. Not even the color of what you're calling our father beads. They aren't supposed to even be beads. They are supposed to be made from the jequirity bean. More commonly known as the rosary pea. It's a bright red/orange pea with a dot of black. It resembles the lady bug. That's why it is called a rosary. From the Latin rosarium meaning proper collection & garland of roses. Which is exactly what it looked like. Some added Jacob's tears beads to divide the decades. The most important thing to remember is, regardless of the beads you use it the colors, it is wrong to wear a rosary. Never wear a rosary. It is not a magic talisman and it is not a necklace. There is no better way to show your disgust and disrespect for Christianity than to wear a rosary. It's the equivalent of going to the bathroom on the Bible or using God’s name in vain. So, in short, What's important is one never wears a rosary. One says the Gloria Patri, hail Mary, Our father, but never, NEVER wear a rosary

This was a great video. The only thing I would add that is extremely simple and elevates the finished look is just to put a crimp cover over the little crimped holders. I have them in silver, gold and bronze depending on the color scheme of the rosary, and it makes a huge difference and makes it look more finished. Thank you for this!!!

Hi Milo I just found your site, and subscribed. I'm a returning Catholic after many, many yrs. I am wanting to make my own Rosary out of real crystal beads. My question is, if I use 6 mms crystals beads for the Hail Mary's, would a 8mms crystal beads work for the Our Fathers? It's been So long, that I'm embarrassed to ask, but if I don't ask I won't know. Thankfully, I remember all the prayers and the mass. I guess a old woman doesn't forget her childhood beginnings. Sorry for the late response. I believe the 8mm would work really well. It depends on your preference though. 6 moving into 8 seems to be a natural transition in my opinion. I have made some rosaries with 6's and 10's, but very infrequently. I only make rosaries rarely as gifts now, and I will use 8mm and 10mm in general unless someone wants the rosary to be smaller.

Hi. What size beads are you using. I am struggling with a 6mm and 8mm bead as the length is to small with the 5 decades. It does not fit over ones head. Your beads in-between what are their sizes?
