Jordan, how about magnets on the back of SS emblems, like used for attaching signs on car doors? Same thing for the black back panel.

Glad to see the 69 back again Jordan, just want to ask something cause i think i didn't understand, You have to now make the car look like an SS 396 L89 (original) camaro besides the real engine is a 560ci because NOW you're running an iron block with alum heads? And before as the engine was all aluminum like an original COPO camaro, the car had to have that original look? Please correct me if I'm wrong

Yeah you’re correct. So it’s suppose to have a black grill, ss badges, and a hockey stripe. If we continue to race the car, we will have to make those changes. I’d rather put the street engine back in it though.

Got tired of people complaining about the zl1 being a “race car”, copos being a under the table car, it was only fast with because it had an aluminum block, blah blah blah. It was just to prove a point. I honestly don’t have a desire to keep it together in FAST form. I want to put the street motor back in it.

What are the differences between the aluminum engine and iron engine? Cubic inch Camshaft Compression Cylinder head? Curious to see just a block change with everything else being exactly the same

The cam is different, basically everything else is the same. This engine has lighter internals than our other engines.

I don't understand the SS 396 switch? Why not just stick with the COPO as before but with iron engine? Some folks thinking it actually runs a 396 !

To have aluminum heads and iron block, it needs to be an L89. Which makes the car a SS 396.
