69 Dodge Dart startup

Blown 440 built by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. The car and full interior was actually completelly built by Jegs in the mid 90's and has just received it's first coat of primer.

Daaaaaaayuuuummnnnnnn!!!!!! nice! Had a 71 dart before kids and all that. Don't have it anymore but had a mean big block stroked and ran 9s on pump gas. Now I got a bone stock Charger Hemi awd which is nice too, but not "yank your pud" nice like this piece of art. well done sir!

one thing I never really understood about people who build hotrods Why are you always so eager to sell it off? I could never sell my Chevelle and it isn't nearly as awesome as your dart (yet)

Depends...if you don't have deep pockets and bills/family/etc it could take YEARS and many thousands of dollars, then technology changes mid build, things are scrapped/changed...MORE money. Delays in parts, setbacks. MORE money. "That new 4 link would be cool, but I already have new springs, but a 4 link... " 2 grand. "Maybe a HEMI! THAT would REALLY be COOL." $15,000.00. HEADACHES. Bitchy wife " I never get to use the garage, and it's a 2 car garage!" Estimated date of completion.....5 more years. Finish the car OR kids to college? Starting to get the picture?

You sound like my buddy Tom and I talking about our cars...he had a 67 chevelle ss 396 auto and I had a 69 Dart 340 4 spd 3.91...both street driven and could waltz into shows with either..now we are 58 or so and get a kick out of seeing rides on the street and youtube go for such big money and we paid 1600 or 2000 back then.Both cars are long gone thru the years but we still have the memories of cruising thru town chirping tires side by side and looking for cops ;oD... love those chevelles...love all the American muscle cars...we had a plenty !

mothertree- thats me in the vid. You hit the nail on the head there. I have my 65 nova I got at 14yo that updating, bought a c6 vette and have a 54 chevy that I've been collecting parts for since forever. My dad has 4 project cars in different stages that I might finish before I die... am I painting a picture here yet lol

I don't have access to my laveyman2010 account anymore. I think it got hacked... Yeah it was a production 440 block and heads with BDS 871 blower with 16 point fuel injection. I never even got to drive it on the street before we sold it.
