Sean, You are absolutely correct. My mistake. I went on the word of the old man I bought it from. I'm noticing now the location of the fuel pump is a dead give away.

I had a 1970 long bed same motor then I built a 350 for it. I love these old trucks. The 4 wheeled drum brakes as well.

Hasn't anyone ever told you that hammering on battrey posts Damages your battrey? This can make a battrey explode vy cracking the lead inside the battry and a spark is made when cranking drawing current at high amps then boom! 😮 but who cares?. That crescent wrench in your hand will loosen and tighten those bolts 🔩 😏 just wondering jow you fix the rest of this truck get some help from a experienced mechanic

Thanks for your concern David. The battery was temporarily put in to move the truck and then removed. Don't worry, next time I'll have a ASC certified tech help me install the battery. 😉
