The factory had 3m rope seal 1/4 size but I used AC pipe temp raping black sticky I cut in half inch lay it down on flange 😊.

Question.why did you go the route of the gap finish after primer?

Sometimes it’s more evident seeing everything in the same color. Prior to that the door was black and the fender gray. I always assume I will need to reprime regardless.

I don’t like cars with perfect gaps. I can see redoing aftermarket sheet metal to be better. Perfect gaps is not how factory did it. And at car shows, I see cars with perfect gaps and straight panels. It just tells me the bondo was poured on thick and sanded down.
