A tool for cutting styrene with thread! Wish I had thought of that! Brilliant. I've cut with thread before but holding with my hands. Very difficult to control. Love your idea. Will have to look through your videos to see if you show how to make it. Incredible builds!

WOW that just about blew my mind. Cutting the doors and trunk open with a piece of thread. That's something I would never imagine could be done let alone even think of. I'll have to give that a try.

Hi Darren, just discovered your channel and checked out some videos, I'm partial to MOPAR's and would like to improve my skills, your tutorials are very helpful. Just sub'ed you. I'm in Ottawa, Canada, and it is hard to find detailing products as they have to be shipped in from the US. Keep the videos coming, I'll be following along. Steve.

Very cool man, I tried the fishing line like I mentioned before when you made your first video with this tool, but thread works better, I think the coating on the line kept it from cutting, It never broke but didn't cut. When I changed back to thread it started cutting fine and as soon as it started to fray a little bit I just wrapped new thread on before it would break, Thanks again for this trick/tip bud, Whitey.

Coop, fishing line works good too! well, spider wire! I use the 6lb, it's like 20 lb reg line, If your using slicks, I like old school Cragers up front and steel rims on the slicks! back when I was ruts it was about money! so I mounted a PR of 15" slicks on steel rims and used the crager lug nuts! but tossed the slicks in back seat n one in the trunk! lol..it worked..lol

Darren Good video and like the tool. However, my question to you is how do you cut out the interior door panels? The reason I ask is because I'm trying to put together a 34 Ford 5 window coupe, when I look at the pictures from the web that I use for my reference the front door jam is in line with the dash. When I try to relate that to the model the front edge of the door goes way past this and into the firewall. If you could offer any suggestion or direction as to where I might find suggestion to correct this it would be great. Again great video and thanks for any help you can give.
@SuperCooper418 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I usually cut the panels and sand them to size taking off more styrene on the front of the panel so that it will fit correctly when the door is closed.
