@@andyg5050 Fabulous! Wish I were able to see it. After 8 weeks, mine is getting to the point where I need to think about doing it again. It’s almost certainly good for another month (maybe more), but I’m starting to see a loss of that beading effect (on places other than the hood), and I can feel some surface contaminants on the roof. It’s probably fine for most people, but I’m not most people when it comes to my car.

I just used it the other day and I agree that it was very easy to apply and buff off. I used it on my son's black BMW and am curious to see how long it lasts. I plan to top it with TW Flex Wax in about a month. I would be happy with 6-9 months of protection (northeast) and its a daily driver.

For a paste wax, this is very very easy to use. I was actually surprised at how easy it was to buff off. I'm thinking it will last about 3 to 4 months but hopefully it does better than that. If memory serves correctly, I remember carnauba paste waxes 10 years ago that we would reapply every 3 to 4 months. With all this Si02 and graphene business nowadays, I'm curious to see what benefits they actually get you.

This wax is my favorite wax at the moment. It's the glossiest wax I have ever used in my 45+ years of detailing. It's actually a blend of ten different types of waxes and sealants blended to provide good durability coupled with the high gloss of a carnauba wax. It's a WINNER in the Turtle Wax line up. A very good wax. This is NOT a cleaner type of wax so if you are purchasing this wax thinking it will make your paint glossy again, it may a very little bit, but you need to have a glossy finish first, even if you only do a pre-wax cleanser first. POLISHING makes your paint shiny, not most waxes or sealants. If you want super shiny paint, get yourself a DA polisher and a good quality one-step with a primer in it so you save time. I used Technicians Choice Ceramic One Step Polish. It's not an aggressive polish at all and I would put it closer to a pre-wax cleanser. The thing I love about it is it is super easy to use and it leaves a base layer of ceramic protection. I then follow with two coats of Fusso Coat (separated by 24 hour cure time between every coat), then two coats of this Turtle Wax Ceramic Graphene Paste Wax so the four coats takes four days to complete, using an hour each evening to put the next coat on. I then maintain it with a Graphene Spray Detailer (Adams is a very good one, or Technicians Choice has a very affordable one also) and doing that I can get well over one year of protection and hydrophobics, no problem at all. I have been experimenting with touchless washing for the majority of my washing to minimize when I need to do a physical contact wash in an attempt to mitigate micro marring on the paint. I will be curious to see how long the protection will last using the touchless wash system as the soaps may be slightly more caustic than normal soaps. I still love the touchless washing method as it is so time efficient. Now I am testing using a hose end sprayer to apply the touchless wash to see if it works as well as without a pressure washer and only using the garden hose foam cannon (not as good as the regular pressure washer one) but it certainly does OK and works a lot faster than pulling out the washer. It's a great "in between" method between pulling out all the equipment. Only takes me 30 minutes to wash and dry the vehicle which is a real time savings and I don't mind washing my vehicle more often if it's a quicker process.

I've just got mine and enjoyed trying it out on my friend's Sapphire Black BMW 330e. Mine has just a plain black lid, so the 75th anniversary editions may seem to have sold out now. There is now more gloss than before, and I have high hopes for the next rainfall, but the wax really needs to be applied thin and given about 10 minutes before wipe-off. It was very easy to use and the surface was left very slick.

@TheCarDetailingChannel3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t ever used this specific wax with a DA polisher but with other paste waxes, I would use a 5.5 inch finishing pad. To initially prime the pad, I would take the pad off the backing plate and basically dip the pad into the jar of wax. This only works with finishing pads because of how soft and flexible they are. Then to apply more product, I would use a plastic putty knife to scoop some wax out and apply to the pad (like buttering toast), but this will only work with paste waxes that are soft to begin with. The turtle wax is pretty soft so this method should work out great.

But lovely small beads on this Turtle Graphene, basically perfect both sheeting & beading moving in harmony lol! Was this the first paste wax you ever used? coz i remember Finis Wax was my first paste wax... Manufacturers should start putting the % of si02 or graphene or what have you, right on the bottle for every one to see (or atleast list it on their website). You’re right though. Some probably add a drop of si02 content just so they can legally advertise it on their products.
