I think this victory beats 1999. Whilst there was a piece of luck in the semifinal & some deliberate on field tactics in 1999, it was straight out win every remaining game. The Afghanistan game was important as it put the other semi finalists on notice. “You’ll have to kill us to win.” Whilst beating Pakistan at Lords was great, winning against the unbeaten Indians at their coliseum in front of a sea of blue takes the cake.

@@ananthakrishnaca5870 Doesn't matter as India would've batted first anyway if they won the toss. I was travelling through Europe and Egypt during this World Cup and each new match you bring up gives me such fond memories of the city I was in when it was on. I distinctly remember walking around Sforzesco Castle in Milan, following Maxwell's hundred against the Dutch on the Cricket Australia app. And getting off a boat that was sailing down the Nile in Luxor to see that Maxwell had done ridiculous things against Afghanistan. Thanks for this!

@AshishSingh-rc7ds even if the final was played on a good batting track, Australia would have won on that pitch too. Tournaments are won with strong mindsets, not by big stats. KL Rahul can never handle pressure situation, he not only was timid in his batting, he fumbled while wicketkeeping too. Secondly, selecting SKY over Sanju was as big robbery as selecting Mongia over Laxman and selecting Shankar over rayudu. I agree, even if Sanju had played the final in place of SKY, India still would have lost but team should be selected on the basis of a player's form(and not on the basis of whether a particular player is a big brand or not). Thirdly, the way rohit threw his wicket in the final should never be termed as selfless, playing a big shot wuole nearing your 50 or 100 is fine but match situation is also something which is expected from a player as senior as rohit. Many a times, even rishab pant has done this due to which he not only missed his deserving tons but even left team india in trouble, like in Sydney test 2021, his 97 runs knock was a special one but he threw away his wicket on a not so good ball. India might have ended up on a losing side too in that test. And finally, last but not the least, team India needs average player with strong mindset and not someone who is a perfectionist but crumbles under pressure

Truly deserved Champions.. Hats off to the Aussies... As an Indian cricket fan more than heartbreak it was so disappointing that our team didn't play with the same approach that worked for them so far.. Also I have no idea why the hell the management or BCCI or whoever concerned wanted this grand finale to be played on a used dry slow pitch.. Considering how dominantly Team India has been playing so far who in their sane mind can ever think about giving home advantage to them by providing such a rubbish pitch for the final🤷🏻‍♂

This WC was an emotional rollercoaster for us . We fought well against India but we were pathetic against SA , making me believe that we're not gonna make the top-4 . But we did it . My few favourite moments in the WC - Sudden & much needed mindset change against Srilanka after 20 overs Stoin's opening spell against Pakistan Cummins's six-hitting , great death bowling & last over fielding magic against NZ Maxi's greatest ever ODI innings Zorbi slogging 29 runs & destroying Poms in the middle order . Trav's allround master class batting , bowling & fielding the SF & final . Bowling & captaining masterclass of Cummins The best WC I have ever watched 😭🥹💛

Australia v New Zealand was my favourite match from this World Cup. It was disappointing to see Neesham runout yet again, reminiscent of the World Cup 2019 final. Great video mate and enjoyed all of it. I watched every game of the WC. also what u said about Aussie dominance since the 99 wc and the players like gilly, Haydn's, ponting ,Warne etc.. they never really had all that much dominance ever since and , yes they did have success, but nowhere near as destructive success that they once had being world beaters. 2023 was the year that seemed like a break out yr for the success they used to have. Personally I still watch us play every series.. BUT , they did have wonky moments in a lot of thier games , but gee's they have to pat themselves on thier back because cricket aus is what now seems to be back again and with some really good young talent in a line-up but kept out because of the balance and strength they already have. As long as they keep stoinis out of the team , they will keep going well

australia won the wc after the first innings of the finals itself every fielder gave their life to save the ball in that heat of ahemdabad, every fucking ball which could have reached the boundary was saved by the aussies they alone saved around 20-30 runs from boundaries which left them with a doable score on the board

You have no fucking idea mate how much anxious I was the whole time. Even texted you on insta to upload it asap. A cuppa chai, warm blanket and your video. That's it.

Great vid mate! U do an amazing & fair dinkum job. We are good at all sports, world champions in many different sports so winning & never giving up no matter what & our laid back attitude is in our Aussie DNA, we bleed green & gold. Except in footy season i do bleed blue & gold too for Parra 😂

Great storytelling, felt like i was watching a movie. Could you also do a video on Allan border’s side and how they overcame darkest moments in Australian cricket to win 87 World Cup and ashes. Feel like their story is underrated

And the solid predictions were an England v India final. Very solid! Australia not even predicted to make the semis by some, especially after the start. I'm not going to go so far as saying that India cheated by they did (again) select a pitch that (they thought) would give them a massive advantage without trusting their own players. Shame.
Losing back to back was the best thing to happen to Australia
