I don't know what this style of dance is called. I'm not in the dance world but I enjoy watching. All I know is that of the many choreographers who do this kind of dance (hitting every single beat) he's the only one I've seen that keeps the movements connected to the lyrics/message of the song. And he does it so consistently. I feel like so many others do a lot of movement with no regard to the song they're dancing to. It makes Robert's choreography that much more impactful.
