We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning kzbin.infoUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.

Great review 👏 I wanted to buy a pair of Ones as a sound upgrade to my current pair of Nest Audio speakers but your comments about not being able to cast from Android convinced me to wait for better Google speakers. We use Pixel 6 Pro phones and Chromebooks and a Samsung S7 tablet and cast everyday.

Glad I could save you the headache! It’s such a shame to because they sound much better than the Nest Audios, it’s not even close. I hope Sonos adds Cast support one day. I had the Sonos one till I traded it in for Echo studio. Reason I did that, sonos would take over things like playing songs when it wasn’t even listening or even played music on recently. There are some short comings due to it being a third party device, doesn’t act like the other echos do perfectly. I think it’s great if you don’t have other echos around or maybe want to go all Sonos. I do like my echo studio, changing fixed all the issues. It was hard to sell the Sonos, it sounded good and looked really good.

Define incredible. First rule is to budget if you are interested in getting something to blend into your home. I bought this. Sent it back. Bought the Apple pod, did the same. Then went to the Move. I was. You would be surprised. But again, if budge is your thing, stay with the One. And I am coming from owning a Marshall stanmore i and a Devialet Phnatom ii. The worse thing about all these wireless speakers is the set up with Apple being the worst. I enjoyed your enthusiasm the most.

As a lot of other people are saying, this was a very thoughtful and complete review. Thank you. It answered lots of my questions. Will I be able to group two Roams with two Ones? I'm hoping to move the room with me to another room, and outside, continuing the music. Do I have that right? Last question: If I get a Sonos Sub Mini at some point, would it pair with the two Ones? (I already know that a Roam will not work with the subs.) thanks
@mrgold3591 Жыл бұрын
Sonos can be added together or play separate audio depending what you need. I can add my Roam at anytime to my Arc system in main TV room or Beam system in my office with a touch of a button on the smartphone app. Works the same for music to include the Arc and/or Beam systems or just use the Roam alone around the house.

Is there a way to connect different smart speakers of different brands and play on a single song? Is there a way to also connect exceptionally premium speakers like Devialet phantom and some pocket Bluetooth speakers to connect with these smart speakers and control them with voice or phone?

You can with Spotify. They let you play on everywhere group for Alexa assistant. I actually had the Sonos one, I love it but it doesn’t play along with other echos well. If I was on another echo asking it to play a song, it would automatically play on the Sonos for no reason. I would suggest going all echos imo. Right now I have two 4th gen echo and echo studio. how about denon heos ?
@rob1261a Жыл бұрын
I think the Denon Heos/Home line is a worthy competitor for Sonos. Some feel they sound better, depending on the models you’re comparing. They also have additional options like, Hi Res Audio, Bluetooth, Line In, USB. I recently purchased the Denon Home 150 and the Sonos One (Gen 2). I compared them side by side for several days and had a difficult time finding a winner. I eventually went with the One. It sounded a little clearer/cleaner to me. I read a number of reviews that feel the Home 150 is better sounding. The One was also a bit cheaper. Excellent condition from eBay for $110 +tax. I got 2 of them to pair up in stereo.

One would need a full paper to describe the crap that SONOS does. Wanna listen to music? Good luck! You will spend hours upon hours trying to setup the software which is an almost impossible task. When you reset the whole thing to give it another go, then you get confronted with a major bug built into the system. If you ever change the email you provide SONOS to make the speaker work, you will be left with an inoperable system. You will spend hours trying to reset your password. Every time they will tell you it has been done but it wil not. And if you ever dare to request assistance from SONOS be ready to be insulted by the staff. They please themselves to tell you where you messed up but give you no answers to solve the problems. This of course, you can verify by yourself by reading a few SONOS support threads. I really wonder how in the hell this company exists? And why would anyone be giving great reviews about it.
