This review is a game-changer for anyone looking to upgrade their home Wi-Fi setup! The NETGEAR Orbi Quad-Band WiFi 6E Mesh System looks incredibly impressive, and your comprehensive breakdown of its features and performance really helped me understand its capabilities. The fact that it's quad-band and supports WiFi 6E is fantastic for ensuring fast and reliable connectivity throughout the house. The satellite extenders sound like they provide excellent coverage, and the dedicated backhaul is a smart design choice. Your review gave me the confidence to invest in this system for my home network. Thanks for the great content! 🚀📶🏠

Power blip is an issue with all netgear routers in my experience. That's why I always use a UPS for both my modem and router.
@SuperBotcreator Жыл бұрын
Could you define "power blip" - is this when the lights flash for a split second when like an A/C unit kicks on? Or a complete off for 1 second then on?
@NiranjanNanda Жыл бұрын
@@SuperBotcreator My understanding is - there is a fluctuation in power input. It can be caused by heavy electrical equipments like AC, heater etc. It can also happen if something happens to the electric supply to the entire house. And, the fluctuations may not be always on the lower side (no power), it can happen when high voltage goes through the circuit to which your equipments are connected. For example if your router is plugged into a surge protector, then there won't be power (because surge protector breaks the circuit to protect your router) for a brief period.

Do you think this will work in a 3 story home? Need it for gaming on the top floor. It’s a historic home so the building materials seem to block signal.
@6MonthsLater Жыл бұрын
It should, but you'll likely need to get a 2 or 3 pack if those materials do block a lot of signal. Also, putting routers within line of sight or in any part of the home that is more open will be critical. If you can't get it to work with this router system, your next best bet is going to be trying to hardware ethernet to the third floor and connecting a satellite router to it to get enough signal up there. Hope that helps! - Josh

Good review. I don’t think I will buy it because of the service. It is not just the cost of the subscription, but the feature done belong on the server. The parental control and website blocking all are on the router itself, so why do I need a service to do it? The Ring’s service provides video storage, which is an ongoing thing, so make more sense. It they want more money, just have a one time charge to enable the feature, because the service won’t add any value to the user.

I have one of the earlier Netgear Orbi mesh router systems. It has fuctioned quite well. Speed, coverage and the fact you can modify settings as in a higher end singe router are definately a plus compared to the competition back then. We also have Arlo cameras, originally from Netgear. One other benfit is the additional lan ports on the router. I for instance have a Marantz 5012 AVR and the wifi connectivity on that is totally crap. By placing one of the sattilites so that I can connect to the sattilites via cable is a must for me. On top of the heafty prices they have started to collect money via subscriptions. I will definately not pay something north of 1000 for a wifi system when doing next generation update for home usage. There are far better options available. And yes, Netgear UI is stoneage for a normal user.

Have a rbk752 orbi. Worst ever, does as he says, usually have to set up again and net gear, provide the most appalling customer experience I have ever come across when you are spending over $1000 on their devices you only get 30 days of technical support and 90 day warranty and is stated in the review you are expected to pay extra for basic security and child facilities. Ultimately I would never buy another make a product app is rubbish. You are asked to pay a premium price in return you will receive a very mediocre product, very mediocre app and the worst customer service imaginable. Do not waste your money buying this pile of turd
