Though the koto is influenced heavily on the Chinese guzheng, it produces a beautiful sound that is uniquely it's own. The sound of the Yamato culture of Japan.⛩🇯🇵🗾

To be honest with you,The sound of the Japanese Koto is more tense and balanced,As a Chinese,the Koto is more perfect than the Chinese Guzheng....👏

Is Yamato culture the same as Heian culture or is the Yamato culture from an earlier period?
@user-rt4ym4nj7z4 жыл бұрын
@@ambitiousheart5441 Honestly, I disagree. Every instrument is different and perfect in it's own way . They all produce different types of sounds to create music. So there is no better or perfect instrument as they are all different.

That's incorrect. Guzheng is actually an ancestor of koto and Japanese borrowed many Chinese styles of playing. Historically, Chinese civilization is way more ancient than other East Asian cultures. If you look at Japanese or Korean musical instruments you'll find that most of them came from China. No, it doesn't mean that Japanese or Korean cultures aren't unique. They are. But it's just wrong to speak antihistorically

And this is why we shouldn't let laymen decide copyright cases in music. (ie Katy Perry v Flame) The two pieces are centered around A minor. Sakura Sakura uses the miyako-bushi scale which is closer to our A Phrygian Pentatonic and Interstellar's main theme is in A natural minor and is literally a motif repeated over and over again. They are very different. It's incredibly annoying when someone hears a pedal point melody or a minor interval and decides it must be plagiarism because they're musically illiterate.

Zygmunt Nowak still harp family
@Yuyu50014 жыл бұрын
@@MikachuAi No it's not. It's a string instrument. There are three categories of string instruments, harps, lutes, and zithers. They are all constructed differently, with the difference between a sharp and a zither being that the harp is strung perpendicular to the resonance body and the zither parallel to it. They are literally two families of stringed instruments...

Hello, We, at Saltire Software, are interested in using this audio as part of our adaptation of the book, On the Sensations of Tone by Hermann Helmholtz. The product will be online, and will give users the ability to hear the chords, notes, scales, etc. which are discussed in the book, as well as include other features. We would like to use a clip of your playing in a section of the appendix which focuses on non-harmonic scales traditional to various parts of the world. If we have your permission to use the audio in your video, please let us know. Regards, Saltire Software
