Incredible grouping, Steve! I really appreciate how you laid the video, the “sections” really helped put into perspective the size of it all.

Thanks for the comment...that is why it took so long to make this video. I had actually shot it two other times and when I got into the editing, I hated the flow. I am glad I stumbled into this format as it will help for a few other massive groupings I own...

Great video, as always. All of those things stand on their own as individuals items. However, in the context of showing the service of one GI, the grouping really is worth more the sum of its parts. Have a great time at the SOS and can't wait to see the videos!

Thanks Brian...I agree with you and it is one of those constant debates...should a grouping stay together or be broken up? I am all for the keeping it together aspect as I feel it tells the story of what the veteran when through however the all mighty dollar seems to sometimes win out! As for the SOS I am going to try for extra footage! I wanted to live stream but I am not quite there yet...there is always next year...

Fascinating grouping, it is nice to know so much about the individual and the information puts the war into perspective. Occupation currencys where often undermined by the allied nations printing fakes of the occupation currency decreasing its value.

You are correct. I think it is a great collectible and in my research I have discovered some currency that is quite rare. There is one particular bill that was used as a replacement for the Japanese issue money...if memory serves me, people would use the one bill when dealing with each other and the Japanese money when dealing with Japanese or "sell-outs." At the wars end the one currency held its value while the Japanese currency was worth nothing thus destroying those who were viewed as traitors.

Thanks 29th...I appreciate that. It has been fun speaking with the daughter and hearing what a great man her dad was. She always said that he rarely didn't smile...even in difficult circumstances. To me, he looks like a guy that would have been well respected in his unit.
