Ryan DeFrees I don’t know what you’re talking about, in a live performance, if there’s pitch corrections you can hear little fluctuations in his voice on the high notes, as pitch corrections aren’t perfect live. I don’t hear any of it. This is 100% raw. But his dad is probably rich. How else do you land a gig at standford.

I was born in '67 and in my day there was a divide between parents and children over music. "Turn that sh$# down!". I'm just proud that my generations music is so timeless. It feels good seeing kids wearing AC/DC stuff and rocking to our classics and being able to share my knowledge of some relatively forgotten bands with my kids.

They are following our music because three quarters of what’s out there today is not that great…. At some point music can only evolve so far and I think we are there now…. By the way I’m not a prude, I love Opera, Rock, R&B , Pop, country and Spirituals…. So when I say much of music today is not great I mean it as an all round connoisseur. 😎

I listen to some kids out there , who I never knew could really put out, for one reason or another, finally do so, with gusto. I’m in awe at their capabilities. For instance the Hit musical Hamilton is amazing. I wish more people would do work of this nature today. Well thought out… well delivered… interesting sounds and some throwback to the 60’s. I've realized that it can't die. Humans are building a palace that will never be finished. Each generation will take the contributions of the previous and build on them. Or will it be akin to sheer noise to our delicate ears? Who knows....

@@reginaschellhaas1395, speaking of sucking on paper, those of us who are old enough remember the candy cigarettes. Made with just enough powdered sugar rolled into the paper that you could actually puff on them and they'd blow smoke! If you do an image search on [Carter Helm Margo Nahas] you'll find a photo of the little kid who rose to fame as the smoking angel on the cover of Van Halen's 1984. Here on KZbin you can find Margo tell the story. Little cherub Carter was actually given packs of "cigs". Chocolate. With the "smoke". It was hilarious back in the day. But not so funny as of one week ago. So maybe I should be more careful with my Pixie Stix jokes. But if I ever do find them again, I will be sure to buy some just for old tyme's sake. Someone commented “looks like a retirement home field trip” and “too bad they played for a retirement home”. If so, then then these talented young musicians are playing to the original audience, by performing covers of the great music that these “old retired people” listened to in their youth!! We might be old/retired, but “our” music is also many decades old, and still fabulous. TNT by AC/DC was released in 1976. The next song was written by Neil Young, who was born in 1945 = 69 yrs old in 2014. If you respect this music, and the “old” musicians, then please respect their equally “old” fans, who supported their work, back in the day. The last song, by Led Zeppelin, was released in 1971, nearly half a century ago....and it is still great. My total respect to these talented young men.

It's too bad that people in this day and age can't handle seeing young kids actually PLAYING INSTRUMENTS and forming a ROCK BAND. They expect kids this age to come out with some Justin Beiber bullshit. Even kids in their own age group can't handle this. They don't even know the songs they're playing. Keep it up guys, you rock! 👍

School is overrated. There will be managers and agents who finished school that will make their living on the talent and sweat of these young men. I agree with Joe Season that they will knock back plenty of puss. If they wish to sample cannabis when they are older, that will be fine. Otherwise stay off the dope!

These kids were fantastic. I've been a professional musician for ovwr most of my adult life and I can tell you with certainty that these kids have a commitment to what they are doing. The discipline and the time dedicated to hours upon hours of individual and group practice/rehearsals is alone enormous. Not to mention putting together a medley the order, the key changes/modulations/rhythms is an enormous undertaking. Even if some adults helped compose the medley, it took hours of dedication by each of the members to learn and master their parts and commit them to memory. All of this from 10-13 year olds ! It takes a different mindset to pull of something like this. These kids hopefully continued their music careers. Bravo !

These kids were great... I hope they are still developing their talent. They are all incredible musicians for their ages. The guitarist was great & singing too, the drummer was on time, great & did back up singing, the bassist is an awesome singer. I see so much potential in these kids. The fact that they had the guts to get out there & perform for this crowd is gangster to me. I hope they far in life. Did I mention that they are cute as buttons too...

I've played in bands for over 40 years and I can honestly say you guys are great. Work hard individually on your instruments, when you get together work hard on the tunes and your stage show and above all, have fun with it. I liked it that everyone sings and you had harmonies. Keep rockin' dudes. You look like you're all good friends so that's a huge plus. Keep it real and never forget where you came from.
