Spoilers . . . . . . I love the detail of how he tried to dig the man up from the grave, only to find that it was empty. It was definitely himself from the station ahead trapped inside and screaming for help. But just as he was about to save "himself", "he" chose the first option and went into the next loop, thus disappearing from the grave.

Even after witnessing this myself, I still can’t really fathom that you managed to make this in _Animal Crossing._ I was completely invested from the get-go. You’re ability to create just the right mood for a setting is admirable! This felt like I was watching an original indie horror game. Having the other character play the witch and appear through the story is so well thought out and amplified the horror 100%. I am in awe. If you can make something like this in AC I can’t wait to see what else you’ll create. Fantastic storytelling skills! Also a round of applause to your wife for continuously encouraging you to finish this, even after you lost all the footage. I am so thrilled you finished this, cause it came out amazing! I am floored.

Hooooolllly crap. That was so well done.... The twist at the end??? Absolutely BRILLIANT. Now for anyone else I'm going to go into spoiler territory: The notes! Like a good old school horror rpg. I really felt like I was watching a polished indie horror game lp. Your set design, storytelling and just general SKILL??? ABSOLUTE phenomenal work. I. Can't imagine how hard it was to keep it rainy, at 7 pm or some variant of 7, and to keep ur dang villagers outta the shot. The looping hallway!!!!! That was so Incredible!!!!!!!! You stitched it together so fucking well!!! The subtle changes!!! The freaking details man. Using the stage hand mask to represent it having no form. Coco being the art student, I really like that. The school set was just so, so, SO cleverly spaced off and we'll done. The rain coming in makes it feel like a surreal place, a room without a roof tethered just barely to reality. I wonder. How many cycles more will our protagonist/antagonist go through? Perhaps this will be the last one. After all, there are only 7 layers to hell right? (I'm kidding but Gosh!!!!!!! I. Would love to see or read more work from you????!!! You have a knack for this my dude. Please never stop creating!!!))

I’m thinking about Coco the rabbit. She is referenced multiple times in this film, and while her picture was probably used due to her off-putting appearance, her head is confirmed to be hollow. Coco is based off of gyroids as well, so for all we know, Coco’s mutation could have made her hollow on the inside. The art teacher claims that Coco can see the world better than anyone else. Becoming what she is now could have made her blind, and take that extraordinary ability away from her. “The witch is said to bring misfortune...”

I love the idea that he will forever be stuck in this loop until he makes the selfless decision. This project had a very A24 feel... (Hereditary and Midsommar) especially from the music. It was more of a disturbing thriller than a jump scare horror film, which I enjoy more so. Overall, this is a really great film, and I’m excited to see what you will do next! It would be cool if there was a continuation of this film, perhaps the witch plagues a different town, but I feel like the film as it is now has a complete ending. Finally, the perseverance of you and your wife through the loss of all the footage is remarkable. Thank you so much for having the motivation and determination to reshoot all the footage and edit it again. The final result is extraordinary, and you should feel very proud. This is my thoughts/theories for the ending just cause, SPOILERS: Alright so the ending, the protagonist was most likely looping the thing over and over without recovering any memories. Throughout the movie we can see what happened, the animals with the illness, the notes, etc. Ngl I thought that the protagonist was the witch at first but we can see that they are actually a doctor with has an illness that they always have to wear a mask. Anyway we all know this. The doctor is shown to have some empathy with only keeping the illness within the town instead of the world but they were always selfish at the end. I think that is because they think they are starting before all of this happened and trying to fix what went wrong, but actually just starting at the beginning. Or they are just portrayed to be selfish with always saving themself instead of staying buried and saving everyone. The stations represent how much times this has repeated (the ending shows this while the beginning is the 6th station and end is the 7th) Another comment I read said that there is 7 layers of hell so maybe they are dead and we reliving it until they are at piece but maybe not since the serum made the doctor feel “immortal” and have no death and just reliving this until the doctor finally makes the right choice to save everyone and stay buried.

It really made me feel inside the story. The story was incredibly thought and written, the plot twist was amazing, didn’t see it coming. It is insane how you could create rooms that not even the game lets you have like how you could create a library outside and it REALLY felt like a library or how you can use an attic in a house and make it look like an entire different building. All the furniture amazing. 10/10 never seen anything like this and the first acnh movie that I’ve ever watched and I loved it. I really hope other creators see this and get inspired to make movies as well because the amount of creativity of this game is amazing. Keep up the amazing work!

Everything in this is perfect. The island, the roaming around in the town, the transitions, the scenario, the heavy ambient, etc... I can't believe people can make such a cute and relaxing game so creepy and unsettling that it triggers my flight or fight response and that my anxiety is peeking through the roof. The "burried alive" part really did something because it's a common fear and I am of those people who are scarred of that.

This was INCREDIBLE!! The Colin Stetson piece at the end gave me chills, I recognized him immediately and knew it was a great fit. I’d love to visit this island ❤️❤️❤️

I got chills. One of the best horror shorts I've seen in a long time, from the story crafting, the clever usage of the walk motions, to the story pacing. Incredible stuff, and incredible dedication.

Where do I even begin? This is PHENOMENAL! All in Animal Crossing, actually compelling story, great twist ending, brilliant sound design, thought-provoking story clues, and it's all seems original. It's an amazingly done work of art!

you, my friend, are incredibly talented and creative. you used every part of the game to your advantage to paint a beautiful story. the looping rooms, the camera pans, all the meticulously placed furniture and buildings, all the paths and fences constructed, even the use of the in-game clock.... truly masterful storytelling. excellent job man, i can't even begin to imagine how much time and work went into this. it's so incredibly detailed.

This is soooo good. I literally had goosebumps for 30 whole minutes. The sound effects, music, just everything was fantastic. It could'nt be better. All the struggle was really worth it!! You did an amazing job and I can't even imagine how tiring it must have been. Thank you so much for blessing us with this masterpiece. This is my favorite Animal Crossing video of all time. Good job! Better than a loot horror movies I saw.

Absolutely incredible, the amount of effort that I imagine needed to be achieved in order to produce this must be absolutely insane. Tremendously underrated short. I'll be sure to share it to everyone I know.

Dude you are so talented. I thought this was going to be a little something extra to explain your island design... but we literally got a whole f*ing cohesive EXPERIENCE. Your story-telling is legit better than a lot of the horror movies I've seen. I'm a fan!

This is surprisingly well done. I didn’t expect it to be a whole original story. More like “Some ghost is hunting my house and I have to befriend it so it can leave” type of thing. But nope, it had a major plot twist at end, and I enjoyed it. You should definitely make more stuff like this. You, have talent.
