I'm thinking maybe the top and bottom hold up better to broadheads because you're not shooting at the edges of the layers of foam but the large, flat part. Looks like a good target.

great video. i have the same one , not quite as beat up but close. i am going to buy a can of expanding foam and give it a few squirts wherever necessary and then shave it down flat and see if i can get a few more decades out of it :)

That’s a great idea. I was thinking about using foam board insulation to patch up my old one, but expanding foam might be just the ticket.

Glad I could point you in the right direction. Yeah I have been pretty hard on that old block, but It is still stopping arrows with no problem at all. I just couldn't pass up a good price on the new one.

Got the same one for my crossbow, I bury my bolts to the fletchings at 370fps

My original block was given to me by a crossbow shooter who bought it and found it did not work. I believe you want to but a target that is rated for a crossbow. I do not believe these targets are rated or advertised for crossbows.

@@TheBudgetSportsman I believe the reason I got it is its rated to stop arrows up to 415fps I wasnt thinking kinetic energy as I'm used to compound bows but switched

had older block target lasted for over 5 years got a new one I was putting field point all the way through in about 2 months called block up sent me new target it lasted about the same time its garbage.

It seems to be holding up pretty well. The external layer of foam does not seem to “self-heal” as quickly as the old one...though to be fair it’s hard for me to remember what the old one was like when it was new. Overall it is holding up pretty well.
