What is your rifle scope set up
@hookedhunting3 жыл бұрын
In many of our hunts we utilize Weatherby rifles and Sig scopes. On this particular hunt Kevin was shooting a Weatherby rifle chambered in a .300 Weatherby Mag topped with a Zeiss scope.

Curious why you didn’t pack it to camp the first day, seeing as you had the bodies.

I was wondering the same thing till I saw the goats. I know a guy here that trains pack goats, and he told me that in his training he agrees to help people pack for free but they have to agree to use the goats for the meat packing as well. Don't know if that's the case here but it may be something like that. Plus it appears they didn't loose any meat so all ended well.

Great question! The bull was killed in the same direction we had to go to get back to the trailhead. We broke camp the next morning and gathered up all the meat and antlers on our way out. Worked great! Love the goats!

Is that a Weatherby Vanguard High Country rifle? If so how do you like it? I'm considering getting one. Thanks

Nevermind looks more like the Mark V Back Country version

Great idea. But until we do our own check out Marc / Pack Goats. He’s out of the Boise area and has a vast amount of information on pack goats.

Are you going to explain to your subscribers and your sponsors why you deleted your "premier elk hunt of the season " the idaho muzzleloader hunt with Casey and pastor jeff? You tell us all the idaho regulations on muzzle loaders but you failed to read on the same paige that it is illegal in Idaho to have any electronics attached to your muzzleloader ( a camera). As soon as you were called on it you tried to hide the fact that you broke the law by removing those two episodes. Poor ethics even poorer character. Instead of trying to hide it own up to it and explain it to your subscribers and sponsors. Obviously you had no intention of doing so since that was two weeks ago and you have posted five more videos. It's not the crime of the century however the way you handled it in my opinion showed poor character which surprise me since you project the appearance of Christians. I wonder if that's how christ would have handled it. Good luck in the future and God bless.

Red Dogg6x6 Truly appreciate your thorough and thoughtful comment. Our goal at HookedHunting is to bring authentic ethical fair chase hunting adventures to our viewers in hopes they would enjoy and learn from our experiences. But, with all our efforts to do things properly unfortunately we don’t always get it right. You are correct that we pulled down the video after your initial comment. We are currently working through the process of talking with the Idaho Game & Fish to rectify the situation. We look to have the video back up very soon. We may re-edit the video or leave it “as is” depending on how the Idaho Game & Fish would like it. Of course if we don’t edit the video we’ll mention that it’s unlawful to attach a camera to a firearm or bow and that we made a mistake. If you have a strong opinion either to edit out the attached camera to the firearm portion or leave in it’s original form please PM me to discuss. It was an honest mistake on our part and we are working harder than ever to prevent this type of situation from happening again. Our testimony is very important and doing things the right way is always our goal. Thank you again for your comment and please keep them coming. We’re learning through this process and understand there’ll be a few bumps in the road. HH

I met Ken over the summer and we spent a few hours sharing high country stories. He is as genuine of a man in person as he is on camera. Honest mistakes happen (especially something as minor as this) and it sounds like they are handling the situation with the appropriate people. We have to continue our support for this crew!
