6X6 Walkaround! BUILD BREAKDOWN | EP11

Well it might be time to change our name!
Brett’s 6x6 build is certainly something special and we love how the build has turned out. Starting with the obvious, we installed the Jmacx / AEV 6x6 conversion which completely replaces the rear end and features coils all round, lockers and more whilst still being legal Australia wide. By fitting an automatic transmission, we are able to engineer the vehicle with a 5800kg GVM, 4500kg towing and a 10300kg GCM. After the 6x6 conversion was complete we installed all of the more common 4wd accessories before sending the vehicle to Jacksons Australia for its custom, tray, canopy and camper.

I see that you use the pass through axle design for the front driver. Is there any disconnect for the rear axle?

Question, do the coil assist air bags hold their pressure or do they drop pressure after a while?

Nice build. When you spend so much money to build a car. Why not choose the best suspension system ? The drive through axle. How does it work ? Regards A Dane who has moved to Sweden to build cars.

The 6x6 conversion is around 70k installed and the auto conversion is around 30k installed.
