Since I was tired and groggy, I converted to decimal and subtracted. The 2nd way, I did it 10x4; 28-10 and got 18/40 & div 2 and got 9/20.

I always use the first method. They taught me this method in primary school and I think it's the best way to solve fractions

LCD and decimalize ... don't know the third. 9/20 is the answer. Now I'll watch the video.

Fun. I did them all mostly. I used LCD. I turned them both (denominators)to 40 and got .45.

In this case, I'd use the decimal method because both fractions are easily convertible.

7/10 - 1/4 = 28/40 - 10/40 = 18/40 = 9/20 is the way I would do it and then there is the decimal method 7/10 - 1/4 = 0.70 - 0.25 = 0.45 45/100 = 9/20 I'll have to watch your video to see what method 3 is !!

Decimal method is something I've never used. I might have been shown bowtie awhile back but one of your previous videos kept it fresh in my head

The last one method not always will work, if there is unlimited decimal, then it will not work

It's 14 over 20 minus 5 over 20 which is 9 over 20 - again why make things so complicated?

You didn't exactly do it wrong I do it that way as well you cross multipy for example: 7/10 + 1/4 = You would first need a common denominator so you multiplied 10 by 4 10x4=40 Then you could do 7 x 4=28 And thn 1x10=10 10 +28= 38 The you get 38/40 Now you need to simplify so you find a number that goes into 38/40 Just seeing this I'll use 2 38 into 2= 19 40 into 2= 20 That's what you did I think [Into means divided 😅]
