The weird thing about crafting in this game is that if you have someone who is already an omni and is willing to help you, you can get to max level very quickly and easily

Regarding the blacklist problem: I called this out when the patch was released many months ago. I spread it though various discords as well i could, because i knew people would use this maliciously. I was suprised that the devs left the "accountID" data in the open. Were talking about in plain sight. They took the most LAZY and unthinkable to ANYONE ELSE- route available to implement it. The games UI just don't tell it to you, but its right there. Anyone can find it if you know how to write code. I knew this would happen. I was shocked how the developers are even more blatantly incompetent than i thought.

The whole tracking your alts through the account ID thing is sadly way worse than they make it seem. They say things like "If you don't know what we're talking about you don't need to worry", but that tool didn't just scrape the IDs of everyone who actually used it, it scraped EVERYONE'S id that was ever in the same area with anyone using the program and then built a database from it. That means even once they patch this out and make it impossible to collect more data, everyone who's already been scraped will still be in the database, with names, player IDs and lodestone ids. So once it's patched, people who have access to that database will still be able to track people's alts that were scraped from 7.1 to the release of 7.2, and will still be able to stalk them by just using the lodestone, unless you specifically hide all your lodestone characters. (And even then you'll still need to pay for a character rename because otherwise you can just use the in game character search. And you have to hope the stalker hasn't added you to their friend list which allows you to track people's character rename without them ever having to accept the request)

I'll try this exploration zone and see if it's for me. Didn't care about Bozja nor Eureka so maybe this might do it as long as there's cool gear for me and other interesting rewards and it's not just midless grinding I could be down. I come from Ragnarok Online back in the mid 2000's and until 2020 I couldn't find another MMO to play until 14 and I remember at that time I enjoyed group content like Capture The Flag, WoE (basically guilds vs guilds) actual 1v1 PVP and that's definitely something I don't do in this game and wouldn't mind having something I could enjoy like that (yeah I do frontlines but for exp or a reward not because I enjoy it).

I could see them using the FF11 discount as a testing bed to gague interest in overlap before announcing a combined sub that's more expensive than the standard FF14 sub.

Maybe I’m crazy but the technology looking graphic looks like the soul regulators to me, I don’t think the kid and the lab coat guy are even related. I think we need to figure out what’s wrong with the regulators.

So hyped for more world challenge content. The Bozja 1v1s and such were great, but visually flat. Would be great if they were integrated right back into ARR maps so newcomers can experience the style during msq exploration.

Shadowbringers trials were a side story. ARR trials were MSQ and then not again until EW

no, just endwalker. The weapon trial series are sidequests that happen on the Source while the msq is still on the First.

Yes and no. In 5.0 all trials were MSQ obviously, no trial in 5.1, 5.2 was side story, 5.3 was MSQ, 5.4 and 5.5 were side story.
