ALL automatic 7.3s have TERRIBLE trans. cooling. Plus a bad front pump seal. Don't let them get up to 200 degrees. ADD COOLERS, YES coolerS!

When its cold and the door is stuck, pull on the door at the bottom edge so the handle won't break. Luckily Superduty handles are easy to replace. Just bought my dream truck, 2000 F-450 4x4 manual, PTO dump 1/4" steel flatbed with drop down sides. I turned over 50,000 on the drive home from purchase in Spokane. 400+ mile flawless drive. I have had to replace the GP relay. I put in the White Rogers. Not a cold winter but I live down by Sunriver at 4500 feet. Great video!

So the shaking of the motor means injectors? I got a 95 7.3. Smokes for like 3 seconds at start up but all in all, barely any blow by, no leaks, and doesn't smoke. I always wondered though why the engine shook like it did.
@jeffhutchins7048 Жыл бұрын
Easy check for diesel in oil, VERY IMPORTANT ON POWER STROKES AND DURAMAX. TAKE a paper towel, pull the dipstick, DROP oil on the paper towel. If there's a "halo" around the oil stain you have diesel in your oil. LOOK CLOSE!!!

I feel bad for my truck. Been sitting at my inlaw's land for over 5 years with flats. Maybe I should pass it to someone who'll give it more love. This video motivated me to visit my truck and maintain it just for kicks and giggles. 7.3ls are definitely the best bang for the buck! Less power than newer trucks, but will definitely outlast them!

I use the ELM327 obd 2 scanner with torque pro app on my 97 obs and so far it is helpful wish I had pod gauges but being a daily driver i need to make this a project truck and drive something else. Thank you for your buyers guide video one thing I would mention is look at battery cables since the 7.3 have 2 batteries and seem to have a lot to do with electrical issues cause 7.3 are fussy when it comes to sensors and relays n such. Again Thank you I did subscribe and it's nice to see Central Oregon again Miss the High Desert scenery.🌄🛻 keep on trucking 🤠
