7.3 IDI Timing cover reseal part 1

Brief overview how to reseal your timing cover if it's leaking.

My timing cover is leak would that cause me to go though 2 to 3 quarts every 20 miles

So Mike, do these clear lines or hoses have to be pressure-type materials. I wouldn’t think there is tremendous pressure in any of these feed lines, but I want to be sure. And also, both of your clear lines appear to be after the filter. Is that the case? Thx.

The clear lines don't have to be pressure rated for testing purposes. I did Plum some of mine in after the filter to diagnose an air leak I had previously and they work so well I left them on

ask for the motorcraft oil pan RTV sealant

Could it be jamed with something so it can't move along with the marks

could still move enough to move off a tooth. I guess if ya could find some way to clamp gear in place prior to pulling it off
