Is this the same engine as in a 1996 OBS 7.3 exactly, I'm pretty sure the truck I just purchased has this same problem just wonderjng if I was looking at doing the same job. Video is really good thanks for sharing your experience!

It is not exactly the same. I am not sure but this is probably the same process on both trucks with some minor differences.

Currently experiencing a no start issue on my 2000 7.3 SD after replacing the lift pump. Lift pump was indeed bad. It ran out of juice on me on my way to work one day,my fiance was able to tap on the lift pump and it started and got it back home. However now that we've replaced that it will not start. Does not seem to be getting fuel. We just replaced the IPR tonight and still no start. Next step will be to get a computer reader on it (we do not have one). Thinking injector control module and if that doesn't work possibly HPOP? Is there anything we could be missing before we spend $800 on the HPOP? We already tried a relay also. (Not sure if you'll see this since the vid is 2 years old)

You never said why you replaced it icp psi before replacement

I didn't actually replace the unit, I just resealed it. There was an oil leak from the old mounting gasket at the front cover. Sorry I forgot to mention

There are several possible reasons for this. Did you rebuild the HPOP?
