My first power stroke was horrible. Took it in for ford to fix it at many dealerships.all they could come up with was it had a torque convertor code. The thing was it was a standard. My 2 year old had way more power. Got rid of it for my first dodge cummins. Loved my cummins untill i got into the DEF issues.

Its all fun and games til an EMP from Russia hits and knocks out power. Then the IDI will wax the powerstroke. Cuz the electronics will be fried on the newer. P.s the new ford, i had 1, guaranteed that guy who won 1st, let off the throttle too hard and spun his throttle sensor backwards too far and had to replace it after the race.

Just bought a non runner 92’ and got it running and moving. It’s not too bad, definitely recommend NOT doing a single mass flywheel though. Gotta be real easy on the shifts or all your shit will go flying off the dash. Gears rattle too

The nbs 7.3 and a turbod idi is not the greatest comparison, an obs would be better, considering the nbs has intercooler, wastegate, bigger injectors and such

I’m new but I just got 1988 .7.3 automatic . Non turbo. And just found 92 7.3 with idi turbo.with 5 speed .zf5 whatever. Should I swap.?? . I’m trying to pull big chinook camper and boat. I need to pull up out of boat launches. Yes it’s 4x4 but I gets excited hearing about the turbo give me another gear on the pass. Mabey. ??? I’m new to the game. 😮

I can't tell if this is a joke or not but they can't do that. Maybe a turned up PS that can hit higher rpm can, but at stock rev limit fuel cutting a 7.3 can only hit 110. Ik from experience.

Tbf that idi didn’t lose by awhole lot My idi can keep up with my buddies Superduty 7.3 pretty easily though my idi isn’t stock my any means but it’s also not a race motor lol I just have all the mods I needed to put on it to get it up to 320 wheel horsepower

@@jeremyjohnson3643 oh god let me think it’s been studded, I’ve lowered the compression, added a better intake manifold, a better air intake, true 3 inch turbo back exhaust, HX40 turbo running 25 psi of boost with a custom intercooler kit I made with a old 6.0 intercooler, old school 10 over injectors, and the injector pump is turned up 30% there might be more that I’m forgetting so I’ll have to look at it again sometime
