Meanwhile I can’t even get mine to stay running. Beautiful trucks!

Do you have a link for the timing cover from CP addicts?

Welp, I wanted to watch you torque them. 73 mm turbo on mine bellowed up pipes and intake manifolds e fuel f450 trans zf6 south bends. 2010 axles with f450 drive shafts and t case. 4:10 gears. 40” tires. No blow off valve, bought race tech head studs. Installling in ab 8 hours, gonna pull the front four cab/dog house bolts n get the head over the studs hopefully! Any recommendations on intercoolers? Or if ya got a old style that’s not up to par with your race trucks? And 250/100 injectors viable? I’d like to upgrade to fleece cheetah housing and wheel (stage 2 kc is what’s on it now)

Who do you recommend for upgraded cylinder heads?

When the studs are bottomed out, how much more are they tightened before you call it good? Half turn? Full turn? That part seems to be skipped by every mechanic on UT 🤨 I have never seated studs before.

I watched a video with an ARP tech and they suggest hand tight with an allen key until the stud stops moving. The nut will tighten the stud a little more when you torque it.

@The73Garage How would it be "hand tight" if you used an Allen wrench?
@The73Garage16 күн бұрын
@@whatsyurprob158 you use your hand to make it tight until it stops. That’s hand tight to me.

I’m about to do head studs to my 7.3 just want to know do you just hand tighten the stud and just torque the nut
@The73Garage3 ай бұрын
Yes, hand tight or I believe it’s a 3/16” Allen head hand tight. Don’t forget the torquing compound!

Love those engines! Would be cool if more folks would do engine swaps with them or is that unrealistic. Curious minds want to know. 😄

Im not an expert. But I do own a obs 7.3. I would imagine there’s not much point in swapping them. Not a lot of power without ALOT of $$. Most people Cummins swap into fords. Not the other way around.

Would like to have seen you install the heads. They are pretty heavy. Did you do it yourself or did you have someone help?
@The73Garage6 ай бұрын
Did them with my pops and cousin. Kinda rushed this video to film more for the next video. I have a ton of stuff coming up for you guys.

@@The73Garageactually I like most of those clips in the intro, just shorten each clip to a second or two, I'd ax the old green dash speedo shot (dated), and bring that last clip into a left to right transition to your channel name, just for a half second or so. If the whole intro was only 5-10 seconds that'd be good.
