thanks so much my friend. your videos are helping me and making things alot easier at school. the teachers are lazy as eff and dont care if you understand or not. College really is a waste of money. I would rather pay you for CCNA. Thank you my friend😘👍

You switched the devices required for the ACL configuration. HQServer should be on Branch and BranchServer should be on HQ.

Thank for all your helpful videos Tech Acad! But I really had hard time finding out how to get the network addresses of 2 new subnet masks. Do you have a demo for those? Can you please insert them here? Thank you so much for your help!
@enrickopulliam38405 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure either, for example why did the mask change from /19 to /20
@bakaandhoney53965 жыл бұрын
Your videos have seriously helped me in my networking studies. I appreciate all of them. But I want to know: how did you figure out the network address into two equal subnets? Did they become a /20 because you borrowed another bit?
@MBAKB4 жыл бұрын
Whats the logic why not keep /19

I follow your vids and up until this point I can follow and get 100% completion, for this challenge however, I was only able to get 32% completion although my PT requirements are just like the ones shown here...
@Amaru20006 жыл бұрын
soceur1977 I don’t think the points are working when you configure the access lists, I already did everything by myself and try everything and it’s working but the points are not adding up, they get stuck at 32, I guess it’s a packet tracer problem
@xXalphatrazXx6 жыл бұрын
you might have misspelled the acl for HQServer as HQserver. This was the issue for me anyway.

Same the points are stuck at 32

I was stuck at 55/60. I opened the "check results" on the instructions window (at the bottom let corner) then clicked "Assessment Items" tab and it had a red "X" on the access-list on HQ gig 0/1. I deleted the access-list, made it again, and reassigned it, and it got me to 60/60. Prob was spelling or capitalization error. using PT version 7.1.1.0137. FYI if i leave PT open for too long (5hrs 8 hrs) without closing it, I tend to get unresolvable completion. 79/80. I just start over normally.

My friend,just a a question. If I define an access list on the outbound of G0/1 interface of HQ that will deny network 172.16.144.0, that will prevent access to the server and it's correct, but it will block as well the access to HQ2 and we don't want that. I know the test ask for a named access list, but in this case an extended would be more correct in my opinion. Thanks for your amazing video.
@skinnyyouth5 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing. This is the ICND1 section which doesn't include extended ACLs yet. I created an ACL on the Branch router to deny the HQServer 172.16.0.1 outbound on int g0/0 Bad as well as the traffic would be routed on the network but it makes more sense rather than block HQServer and HQ2

why was the serial interface made passive?
@TechAcad6 жыл бұрын
Hi Drew Here we not want to advertise the link to the Internet on the router HQ. And here we set a default route on HQ which directs traffic to S0/0/1 Interface. That's why we made this serial interface as passive Thank you for your support
