Wonderful ‘show and tell’ 👍🏻👍🏻 It’s so helpful when you’re trying to decide what types of lavender to plant + the flavor profile notes is a bonus .😊 I will forever remember ‘Grosso’ is GROSS-o for teas and jams 😂

i have watched dozens of videos about lavender varieties. This one takes the cake, the rest were a waste of time. So much comparative information here, just wonderful! Thank you Rose! I will come visit Morningsun Herb Farm.

Well, this video has really outdone ALL other “so called” videos. The most in depth by far out there. You’re amazing Rose! I planted 3 in fabric containers. One thing I found out is lavender in the ground is drought tolerant but when in containers they need to be treated as any other plant when watering, maybe a little less. I know I have a munstead but the other 2 are just labeled lavender but maybe with this vid I’ll be able to figure them out. I’m a former Sonoma County girl and miss the lavender fields unbelievably now that I’m on the east coast. I struggle to keep them alive every year but I keep trying. I’ll have a better shot after watching your series. Now I’m off to watch how to prune and all the rest. Ty so much Rose 🌹

That Agabe Americana reminds me of christmas during grades school years. We used to climb up the top of the mountain to cut its one whole dried flower shoot put it in our classroom as a christmas tree and decorate it with cottonballs to look like a snow and add some christmas lightings and ornaments to it. Sometimes we use perla laundry bars worked up in water until it give a hard suds to mimic snow then we cover the agabe flower stalks for a nice white snowy christmas tree.

Rose, thank you so much for this video. I’ve been looking hard to find a video that shows the lavenders full grown and in hedges so that I don’t make a huge mistake in planting a hedge. You’ve saved me so many resources. I’ve been needing the information that you provided on best uses, desperately. I had to look through so many unhelpful videos to find you. I wish for you to get more views. It would provide so much info and needed help to gardeners.

Thank you, Rose, for a wonderful introduction to Lavender! I'm 75 and just starting to study herbs! What took me so long? LOL I lived in Napa for 25 years before moving back to the Mississippi coast. I hope Lavender likes hot and humid! I want to learn about other herbs, of the medicinal variety. I'm a new subscriber so can't wait to watch your other videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

I’m a former Sonoma County (Santa Rosa) girl living in the mid Atlantic. Hot & humid is an understatement Susan. I’m trying to get into herbs as well. One thing I miss aside from the lavender fields are the health food stores on almost every corner where you can walk in and ask about this or that on whatever ills you need help with and they were a wealth of knowledge. All I have here is the vitamin shop & Whole Foods. Pretty sad & embarrassing imo. Hope Mississippi is better.
@susancoulange3825 ай бұрын
@@adriankap2978 Sadly, no better in MS as far as health food stores. Closest Whole Foods is an hour away! I purchase organic herbs online. On the bright side, people are more sane and polite here. The weather is a challenge though. No place is perfect!

Thank you so much for giving so much great information about Lavender I really enjoyed it and I also enjoyed understanding more about the flavors and English lavender is not being a really tall plant and I might want to try to buy one of each color and put them in containers seems like it might be easier to cut them back hard in a container I’m older and bending down might be a problem but if they’re in a container I think I could trim them easier and cut them back card like you were saying best part of all they’re not going to get huge thank you so much for so much great information hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy

I went to the farm twice. The English lavender were so fragrant. I bought 7 of them. But they all died or dying. I wish they can have video that helps people like me who know nothing about growing. Actually we purchased 5 lavender two years ago. They all bloomed during the summer. But suddenly they all died. Do not know why?

Before I reach for some calming Lavender, can I have a Rant *(!) and Say... Why, Oh, Why, do you say ...."Erbs" ?!? Please say "H"erbs ! It spelt with a "H" 》 HERBS !!! .... 🇬🇧 Lavender Herb ! .... Whats with the History Stateside, of saying 'Erb!?!... Really grates in our English heads (!) 😖🥺😖 Even though I am in Scotland, I do grow lots of Lavender for my Bees. Lavender is frost Hardy, here, it just doesn't like the Wet, me either ! 😂 Just love Lavender, and this Lavender Video ! Great Presentaton : on Varieties, Growing Position, Attributes. Thank you... for the content. Just Subbed. 👍 * I have to do a Lah, lah, lah sound, when 'Erb' is spoken. 🥺 Also grow French Lavender (Papillion) aka Spanish Lavender in US. Its very tender, but love those 'Ears' sticking up from those Fuzzy Mega Buds... Just come back from France, having seen Lavender grown in a Park in Paris...🇫🇷 As a Kid, we lived in Southern France,in a Region, called ... "Aix en Provence" that grew fields of Lavender as far as the Eye could See (!) You must see Lavender in the Mediterranean Landscape, one of the Wonders of the World (!)
