Their abandoning Gravity Rush wouldn't sting *quite* as bad if they hadn't prematurely shut down the online servers for GR2 and locked any new players out of a huge number of rewards. And, y'know, the multiplayer aspect was really fun and it's a damn shame people can't experience it now. They're still absolutely worth playing, but I'd be a liar if I said that it isn't missing something now.
@mnArqal9310 ай бұрын
Yep, played GR2 last year on PS4 so never experienced the multiplayer so it never felt like it was missing anything. From my perspective, the online thing was nothing more than a nuisance. But I'm glad it didn't interfere with the platinum or game too much. It's frustrating when games do this though. I just mentioned this, but the other thing is GR2 also wasn't friendly for new players to the series, story wise. They just continued the story and there was no handholding with it. It's really one of the games where you need to play the first one first as there's no explanations to most stuff. You either knew or you didn't. I tend to only play a lot of series from first to last, but I imagine for some, that was annoying. Thankfully, the game's story was wrapped up so the games really felt like one package instead of two separate ones.

I’d also love to see another WipEout game, since the last one that I count was 2048 on the PS Vita. Omega Collection had a PSP game (Pure) that was ported to PS2, remastered for PS3 (HD), remastered again for PS4 Omega), DLC for the remastered PS3 game (Fury), and 2048. I also want another Tourist Trophy, or maybe a remaster. It was a PS2 game based on Gran Turismo 4, but it had motorcycles instead of cars. The license system was changed, and a few tracks were introduced. I don’t think you could buy new bikes, either. Sticking to the subject of racing games, I don’t think anyone would be mad if DriveClub was reactivated or officially ported to the PS5. The game is still beautiful today, even on an 8 year old PS4. They don’t even have to give away the DLC, just make it available to buy from the store again and reactivate the servers.

Infamous agreed. Wipeout yeah Pure/Pulse on PSP or PS2 also Pulse was for, to HD on PS3, HD Fury DLC, 2048 on Vita, Omega collection of HD, HD Fury and 2048 on PS4. then Rush the mobile game that flopped. Polyphony hasn't mentioned TT in years. Rise is fine even Ride 4 improves Forza Motorsport 1&2's region system idea. Ride 2 even had Forza Motorsport 6 style cutscenes. Other bike games exist but TT has a certain style and feel to it. Ride 4/MotoGP games have gone too pro and too unplayable to me. Milestone just made things worse but their old bike or car games were better in experimental ideas or play ability XD GT7 style Tourist Trophy would just disappoint me if it's campaign is like the cafe and level gating or roulette things I find of GT5/Forza Motorsport 6 compared to GT7 just aren't for me. A better bike game yes but their current design I don't really care for it. Drive club it's rain/weather effects are still good but it's like 1/3 the content nowadays. No idea if VR is the definitive edition I own both just never checked. The ideas in it were very interesting for the time and other games that tried to do varied modes. I think dropping the amount of racing titles was a bad idea but AI can see why. Even though GT games cost way too much even besides the delays of GT5 or cost of Last Guardian.

Oh man, Gravity Rush _ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO COME BACK!!!_ They were such amazing games! Great aesthetic, fantastic music, charming protagonist, incredible traversal and combat, and just such an interesting world with SO MANY questions left unanswered! I think they even left the sequel on a cliffhanger too, just to rub salt in the wounds! Sadly, playing Gravity Rush 2 is quite rough these days after they shut down the servers for the multiplayer parts. While the online stuff was only a small part of the experience, without it, it means it's almost impossible to find chests in the world, and without the currency you get from them, you're basically locked out of obtaining certain rewards. Also, some side events will try and post your score to a leaderboard that no longer exists, wasting your time. Oh well. At least I created a Gravity Rush themed character in DC Universe Online years ago, so I can still play as 'Kat' on there, I guess. But, come on Sony.....bring back Gravity Rush! Those games are awesome!

8:07 - Yes, Sly Cooper, the game nominated for both "Best Game No One Played on PlayStation 2" and named in the "25 Most Underrated Games of All Time" was surely the reason why stealth sections became popular in games. It couldn't possibly have been 60+ million selling series that came before it, Metal Gear Solid, or a game regarded in the running for best game ever created like Deus Ex, or games like Hitman, Thief, or Splinter Cell. It was this Sly something game. :P

I always think it odd when this subject is raised by anyone. A constant criticism of media today is the reliance on established IPs and a lack of new stories and characters, and yet this shows how many existing IPs have potential and are being sat on. Sega are the worst though, even if they have announced some new installments of old games.
@macsmith201310 ай бұрын
YES. Imagine what Motorstorm could look like on a PS5. Speeding through "Horizon: Forbidden West" quality sceneries and spraying water/snow/mud EVERYWHERE! Twisted Metal would be a nice candidate for a sequel/reboot/remaster as well, especially considering the TV show didn't completely suck (ymmv there, of course).

I loveeee the Gravity Rush soundtrack, and I haven't even played either of the games. I used to work at a cinema where they had a game station you could try out one of those games one, but I never did. Looking back I kinda regret it, but it's okay. I've always been fond of the main character by the way. She's got that Ishvalan palette of tanned skin/light hair/red eyes that I really like. And then her outfit just complement it so well, makes her seem not of this world, it's very striking I think.
