Please, please do NOT treat any activity as mandatory. If you miss some of the challenges, wondrous tails or any other activity, including limited time events, you don't lose anything. Making a game into a second job will just leave you burnt out. I know people don't really take breaks, but at least don't trade your fun for a set of checkboxes.

remember, you only have to play verminion 5 times for 27k, even if you lose. you can always afk against the computer while you're making a sandwhich. Doman mahjong is the only thing not worth checking off if you really want to to grind mgp.

Best way to do wondrous tails is if you have lvl 50 garuda or ifrit trial as options, because as a geared SAM you can kill them within 10s and it dies before they disappear. So the time it takes you to accept the reward, re-open the trial in the book, loading screen +10 sec × 9. It goes really fast. The other lvl 50 trials are also decent, they just take longer. Titan for example, takes about 40 sec for each run.

Summoner works well too. Searing Light, Summon Bahamut, Enkindle Bahamut, Deathflare will also one shot Ifrit and Garuda.

Just max a BLU and literally kill all the ARR Trials in a single attack

As a lvl 90 MCH, I can burn through 50 and 60 EX fights with no issues. Even Nidhogg dies in 2 minutes, and half of that time is phase changes... But at 70 EX, bosses tend to start using sure-kill tankbusters 30 seconds into the fight... no way to skip, no way to dodge, no way to heal...

2:30 - Personally, I do the ARR EXs and when my book has it, the level 90 dungeons as there are TWO dailies that fill this in. (Bonus if there is a level 50 one too as MSQ knocks it out).

max BLU can solo the ARR unsynced, Basic Instinct #91 -> Whistle #64 -> Moon Flute #39 -> Tingle #82 -> Swiftcast + Final Sting #8 and they instantly die in 15 seconds, without having to worry about any invincibility phases like titan jumping or whatever mog does idk

I wasnt aware there was a job / class that couldn’t solo unsynced ARR at this point? I’m not being facetious, simply curious which one can’t. Or were you saying a BM can clear the content without being @ a high level? As a PLD ARR unsynced takes seconds and most Heavensword are cleared in a min (or two if there are cut scenes). I only really start running into issues with Stormbloood due to various mechanics / my own lack of skill to survive. There was also one Alexander savage that I needed another person to survive the one shot. I know it can be solo’d but PLD DPS in cluch situations can still leave a lot to be desired. I need to get on that BLU train as it sounds like a lot of fun.

Grand company squadron missions, it takes a while to get them there but once they get there you can send them out to get personal grade 3 buffs that last for 2 hours, even when you have every class maxed and don't need the exp 3 buffs you can still get food,teleport,gc seals, mgp and spiritbond buffs Well worth it😅

This is golden advice, especially if you do hunt trains. you're fc buff won't stick around as you hop worlds, but a priority aetheryte pass will. i use the spiritbond ones a lot too, and throw up the mgp buff for every fashion report and jumbo cactpot drawing.

You forgot to afk lord of vermillion 5 times a week (no need to win) for that easy 20k mgp. Just que up for extreme lord, go get a fresh water

I have very limited time to play each week, so right now because I haven't finished the main questline I want to just focus on that (i'm at the very start of Endwalker), before doing side content. I went down the dailies/weeklies rabbit hole once before and it burnt me out because I had no time/energy left over for MSQ. But I still watch these videos because i want to know the best stuff to focus on once I can actually invest time in side content.

If you got a job at 90, you can easily solo all ARR and HW EX trials. Most Stormblood trials can be done with 2-3 people as well, emanation even solo as a tank. Its pretty easy getting the whole thing done within 2-3 hours if you get the hang of it and know what you can do easily and what not.

Bonus about the Wondrous Tails: You can click on the duty you need to do and it's selected on the duty list for you, without having to search by name edit: apparently that's only if you use a certain party of 3rd degree tool

Yeah also going to send out ur squadron to get the priority aether tickets is a nice repeatable thing each week and is part of my weekly reset errands. I've also begun stocking up on the relic mats when my tomes are capped and not sure what to use them on.

But hold on… if you’re doing duty roulette, you don’t need to run 9 trials coz a lvl 90 is a definite and you might even have others popping just from the roulette, so I’d recommend doing your DF roulette first and then using trials for what remains.

To get a Second Change again for your next week book you need to run any duty ( no guildhest) with at least 1 new player on that duty and complete it

afk lord of verminion 5 time a week is also super easy. just lose to the cpu for like 15-20 minutes and it will net you 27k while you do other things

I don't have much time to play so I do just tribal quests daily and the gold saucer tickets daily/weekly. The rest I have fun and grind glam or level my characters with daily duties or just go fishing or just do my msq line. I burnt out once and didn't touch the game for 2 years. Don't want that to happen again.

I do them...till I don't feel like doing them. Like other things, I take a break. I had my fill of 'weekly chores' in other games, so, while FFXIV is not as bad as some other games, when it bugs me, I skip it. I tossed out 'efficient MMO play' as a practice for me, because it was making the game (not just XIV) not fun anymore. So, I understand your video, and it's a good list, but, only if you still play your MMO as an 'efficiency' thing.

@@eyedamI love eureka. My favourite activity is instapulling my NMs and watching all the people who afk at the aetheryte cry about it. Even though they didn’t lift a finger to help prep. It’s cathartic.
