Quick question..how much clothing would you suggest wearing under this jacket is necessary to actually stay warm? Wife loves the small as it forms to body better and medium leaves the room for extra clothing, but obviously isn’t as formed to her body. She is 5’4” and similar weight.

It's stayed above 70 for the last week and a half which has been nice to yardwork, but not for fall and winter wear lol. We are headed into a cold week though so we shall see how long it will take me to complain about the cold weather again. ;)

Yeah it was ridiculously warm in midwest! You needed to do it this week lol also had the down jacket light weight from costco last season and it worked great for commuting so sad it got snagged on our storm door and ripped in elbow

Try eBay is good place to by jackets from and you can get brand names for not a lot of money just got to read your fine print and know what you're doing but other than that's really easy and you can find some really great prices on some bomb ass gear, and some of the best gear out there too like baton and Roxy and other iron brands but that's for snowboarding LOL you can also find stuff by Louis Vuitton etc

Girl I am THE SAME. I always talk myself out of things which is a good thing, but also makes me take forever on deciding on anything. Like the snowboarding jacket. I talked myself out of it after I filmed because I realized that with covid numbers rising so quickly that we probably won't be traveling this winter so I shouldn't keep it -_-. It did however make me feel less guilty about keeping the last jacket that I loved lol.

@@ItsJustKelli I have a jacket similar to the snowboard jacket that I have had for 20 years. It is hands down the best coat ever especially for snow sports. But I want something longer to cover my bum and thighs for running my son around to things or running errands. I do love the last jacket you showed. It is AWESOME! I would have kept it too!😊

This is great! Thank you for doing this. I’ve looked at a few of these. I almost bought the last one (the tan one) last winter. I ended up with a Columbia Omniheat. It’s like the thinner long black one that you bought. I like that style because it’s so lightweight and packs well. Also, the longer ones provide more warmth when you are standing on the sidelines of a soccer field in January. Please share which ones you ended up keeping. I might have to order that tan one now. Great review!

I actually bought a jacket off of Amazon cuz I just couldn't find one that was warm enough for the WI winters. It keeps me nice and cozy when it is -30 outside. It's been a couple of winters now since I've got it so has held up too.

I’m looking for a long coat (knee length or below if possible) as I live way upstate NY and it gets super cold and snowy up here. I love it when someone in the middle of the country says ‘oh it’s a really warm jacket’ and they think cold is around 20/30 degrees! Anyway, do you mind sharing the link or name of your coat? Hard to find good WARM stuff online as ‘warm’ is really subjective to the area one lives in and their body of course. Blessings to you!

Even though I'm taller and uh, fluffier, lol, than you, I loved this review because even though the coats themselves probably arent in my size I think we are similar in how we think through things and value similar things. For example you reminded me how much I hate shoddy zippers and how some coats are meant for layering and others don't need it. Really useful to me. So even though the products I know might not work, I love the girlfriend like shopping talk to help me. And I do need a new winter coat and am so overwhelmed on starting but this made me feel better about trying online.

The very first coat I actually have I gotta new sherpa lined plaid coat and gave the black ski coat to my brother, it's VERY VERY warm jacket which is why I gave it to him I just wanted a new one with sherpa I love plaid, I love sherpa I love warm coats, for anyone that wants that FIRST coat in the video it IS warm for a lightweight jacket you won't be sorry EDIT: I got that ski jacket in MENS not women it's the SAME coat but the sizes are different between men & woman

That's good to know! I loved the jacket, but decided on returning it and keeping the last one mentioned instead. Due to Covid in our area I don't think we will be traveling this holiday season so it didn't make sense to keep it. I plan to repurchase it however next year when we can go ski and snowboard again!

Regarding crazy weather; check out ‘pole shift’ and ‘grand solar minimum.’ There’s actually a LOT going on in the earth that’s creating huge cracks in Africa (becoming split into 2!), volcanoes becoming active and tectonic plate shifts (I HIGHLY recommend ‘Dutchsinse’ channel ... he’s tops in his field!.) The weather is unprecedented all over the world and it will become more so as time goes on. Ever think of doing a long coat vid? I’d so be into that!!
