I've recently got a Viltrox 40mm and 85mm - both are fantastic, and I got both for £375! I really can't tell the difference from Nikon lenses, it's great to have budget choices that aren't crap like the old days!

Thanks for the info. I have the Viltrox 20mm on Sony FE and it's a great little lens. Excellent Colours. Looking forward to getting the 40mm when it's released for Sony and the 85mm too. To go with Vintage 135mm, 30mm and 50mm

👍Thanks for video. Looks like a nice lens. Quite a lot for the price which I think is just below £300.

Typical chinese lens, hard and flat, unartistic and quite expensive compaired to the real Sony 85. Besides. Vigneting can be very easily checked by taking a picture full open of a flat white surface like a door. But you choose not to..... Makes this whole `review`kind of unreliable.

“Typical Chinese lens” ….your first sentence showed your ignorance. There’s nothing “typical” amongst different Chinese brands of lenses. TT Artisans, Viltrox, Laowa….they’re all quite different. In fact, Laowa’s specialty in super wide angle lens is revered amongst serious photographers. I bought the Viltrox 85 mm f1.8 after serious considering Sony’s slightly more expensive 85 1.8. In every ways, sharpness, color, bokeh, handling…. Viltrox is better. I also own some superb Sony lens such as the new 70-200 ii f4. So each brand is different and offers different products catering to different consumer needs. There’s nothing “typical” among them.

@@roy5515 I buy lenses for fun so i don`t need to buy cheap crap, i still think chinese lenses lack character. Luckily i don`t have to buy them, nor will i ever. My favorite brand are Leica an Voigtlander, did you ever see a voighlander foto on sony, that`s what i call artistic character.
