We got to start with Bey. Obviously. As heart broken as I was that she pulled out of Coachella last year because she had twin fetuses in her belly that needed her attention, I’m so glad that she came back this year with a vengeance. Beyonce HD. Holy crap. Besides her wardrobe malfunction during her set where her boots fell, essentially sealing the fate that someone what gonna get fired by the end of that number- besides all that- her outfits were perfection! She went from fly girl in yellow to a full fledge Queen with so many jewels on that the weight of them alone made walking on the stage some heavy cardiovascular activity.
Moving on to the next fashionista. Kylie Jenner is to Coachella as Meryl Streep is to the Oscars. Always present and always winning. Where do we begin- the clothes or the wigs? Let’s do both. King Kylie stayed in a black onesie that somehow only cost $18. If you hurry you can snag it for weekend 2. That hot pink glow in the dark wig looked so good. Her wig game is so strong! Her pink hair looked great against her nude vinyl two piece she wore for the after parties.
Not to be upstaged, Kendall Jenner always gives us much to look forward to. What was most noticeable is how much her Coachella fashion has evolved throughout the years! Her bohemian style has taken a back seat and a new, rugged, androgynous, Indiana Jones meets Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider meets the choreographer form Meet The Band squished together is what Kendall served us this year. Her waist must be very tan by now because she never covered it.
Next up, Rihanna. Woman, I don’t even know what to say. The look with the sleeves and the face sweater... didn’t love. But THIS one: 50 Shades of Brown, with her beautiful breasts on semi display, and then this one- sort of like a modern take on the classical Mexican mariachi outfit- I love ‘em both.
For a girl who puts the ‘chill’ in Coachella- Hailey Baldwin. Though it seemed like everyone got the memo that for 2018 you were supposed to wear white sneakers, a denim bottom, and a white skimpy top, Hailey took hers to the next level by flaunting her assets in this lace white bra top, pear earrings, and vintage cat-eye sunglasses. I dig it.
Our next person deserves some love because he is both nothing like what Coachella stands for and yet everything that Coachella stands for at the same time. Mr. Walmart Yodeling Boy. He made such a splash at the music festival and he did not adjust his style for the fest. He showed up in all his Midwestern glory complete with a giant belt buckle, a cowboy hat, a red bowtie, and a white long sleeve button down shirt in the middle of the desert. I want to be his prom date. In 10 years.
And last but certainly not least can we pay our respects to Teyana Taylor’s lime green lace Body suit? Girl makes we wanna go to the gym. Teyana was attending a Playboy sponsored party where bunny ears obvi were a must. Combined with the dress and those brightly tinted sunglasses, she wins steamiest outfit of the weekend. Meow!
