@@olthousem02 as long as it’s an arboreal species I don’t see why not! 20 to 29 gallon vertical enclosures are amazing. If you go on iHeartgeckos.com they even sell conversion kits.

many of these are great choices however. crested geckos should NOT be housed in a 20 gallon and neither should gargs and many other new calidonian species. for crested geckos and gargs a 18x18x36" (50 gallon tall) is the MINIMUM with many other species needing larger because they are larger and need more room to jump and be a gecko.

Hmm I need to rethink my research because I constantly hear 20-30 for New Caledonian geckos, thanks for the tip!

@ unfortunately lots of old stuff still floats around. I like to look at reptifiles for guides because they list out their sources so I can directly see how they are getting the information. Also you can look at the federation of British herpetologists guide for minimums as well as two years ago they put out a list of minimums and a lot of people also base their sizes off that (it’s nice because it’s based off the size of the animal rather than a one size fits all)
