It’s like the game is trolling us sometimes. 2⃣ Dumb AI: Either the CPU plays like they’re gods or like they’ve never held a bat. One moment they’re smashing sixes off yorkers, the next they’re running themselves out for no reason. Make it make sense! 3⃣ Recycled content: Every new game feels like a copy-paste with minor upgrades. It’s like we’re stuck in the same game with shinier graphics but no real innovation. 4⃣ Licensing drama: Why do I still see generic names and fake teams in 2024? It totally kills the vibe when you’re hyped to play as your favorite team but end up with impostors. 5⃣ Boring career modes: The career mode is supposed to be the most fun part, but it’s so basic! Where’s the drama, rivalries, or off-field action? It’s just match after match with no real depth.

These cricket games are trash after the initial hype. Everything feels so repetitive-once you play a few matches, it’s just the same thing over and over again. That’s the most frustrating part. And don’t even get me started on career modes. FIFA sets the gold standard with dynamic storylines, rivalries, and real progression. But expecting anything close in a cricket game? Pure nonsense. It’s just a boring grind with zero depth or excitement. Even when you win a tournament or a trophy, there’s no press conference, no proper celebrations, and no real trophy ceremony. It’s the same stale animation every single time, like there’s only one trophy presentation in the entire world. No human emotions, no excitement-just soulless, repetitive trash.

I suggest that the bat movement should be directly tied to how quickly the player moves the joystick. If the batsman moves slowly, the bat should also move slowly, and if the player moves the joystick faster, the bat should respond accordingly. This small adjustment would make the game more realistic and provide a better, more lifelike experience. What you guys think??

It sounds good, but not sure if they will be able to employ that. Also, then they will have to completely change it for those with keyboard? Maybe just abandon keyboard controls altogether and concentrate on Controller like DBC14. But that could alienate a lot of players. But interesting. Also in my opinion a batter should not be allowed to move around the crease after a certain point in bowler’s run up. This could block the abuse of the system where players would stand way outside off or leg. But again, it will impact gameplay because in real life players do move around at the last moment! Cricket is such a hard game to make really hah

For Me 1, game mechanics in batsman playing according to pace. eg: batsman wasnt muscling the ball when playing against spin he plays a flick shot with no power and it goes for six. 2, For me online multiplayer is most important nothing can beat the experience of Competiting against real players. Playing with Ai is like not making sense unless its a odi or test cricket

DBC14 camera movements were so perfect I ain't even lying. Every game should adapt that in-game camera movements Commentary is the biggest issue of all the cricket games since usually commentary of the games are only limited in a single pack with limited lines and phrases, however as you said it should be dynamic by setting up a voice and it should be able to generate uniqueness within lines with occasional repetition. Commentaries often face timing issues too. I think career mode shouldn't really have the relationship and all, I feel like the career mode in cricket should only be kept within the cricket aspects. The thing which can be modified is a more realistic career progression since the career progression in cricket games are unrealistic and noobish and should bring more competitiveness, they should also show player rankings and stats which I think they might do. The only thing I did put were rivalries and on-field dramas where we choose what to do in that situation. Ball movements should be more accurate, while the bowling mechanics and process of choosing variations can be simplified or be made easier. Every cricket game should include highlights, after every game completed there should be highlight of it availible to save. Mobile games do it. AI is a bit annoying, while it's good in bowling but in batting it's very unrealistic. AIs should be more realistic within gameplays. Gameplays should be dependent on other factors like pitch and weather conditions not just timing. RC Swipe has included dynamic AI, I think others should do it too with even more complexity. License needs to be bought by the devs themselves so it depends on how big their budget is.

DBC14 was near perfect in that sense. The grounds also felt as big as real in that game. For relationships in career mode, I was talking about a story line like NBA 2k used to have. Yea some might not like the narrative but if it is kind of open world, where we can have sponsors visiting us, having the option to do Offield stuff like buying a new house, could be fun. But I understand why some would not like it. Re- highlights, yes a proper highlight package with ability to save it would be nice to have a look later on.

To me, the most annoying aspect of a cricket game is the how they poorly design difficult modes. Even a perfectly timed cricketing shot may yield an edge on a higher difficulty mode just for the sake of being difficult to play, which makes no sense. It's a common problem with cricket 07. You can play years on 3 star, hone your skills, and as soon as you switch to 5 stars, you'll give away edges every shot.

I personally love watching cricket because of its commentary. The old school games like EA Cricket 07 or Ashes Cricket 09 have better commentary than the recent releases of BigAnt. The second point I would like to address is fielding. In my personal opinion the BigAnt did a phenomenal job to invest in the cricket game where other big corporations simply are not present. Only competitive titles like in football pes and fifa goes toe to toe will give us a better choice.

@RahulRants Just like in movies signing 1-2 big actors eats up lot of money, I guess same happening the licencing of player and tournaments takes up lot of money and effort. It's my personal opinion that if you are pricing your game at 4K for such a niche genre game few would dare to try it out except your existing player base. Even they'll eventually be sceptical as in the last 3 releases I found only minor tweaks.

if in career mode had something where the commentator focuses on h2h stats like for example if you're player is batting and has poor record against for example starc then the commentator could say smth like "here comes starc's bunny" that would feel much deeper and feel like you're actually battling that bowler the ipl has so much potential in career mode like discussing with team owner, getting criticized by media, getting booed (like the hardik thing this season) it would feel so satisfying if you're scoring runs after getting booed, retaining ( I've never been retained by my ipl team I've even captained them to help them win and scored 700 runs in a season still got released felt unrealistic) before getting released it would be nice to see the team owner telling you you're about to be released or if you're retained and if you're captain should have some say in retains cricket is best sport to represent a individual player

Yes, they should add custom line for career mode in commentary which should act as a separate mode. Right now it is not the case. They can do a lot with career mode. They tried to add the interview stuff this year but it was causing the game to crash so they removed it that also.

TBVH mobile cricket games at this point are making really big strides... apart from some gameplay issues, Real Cricket 2024 has most of these issues resolved on a scale justifiable for mobile gaming. even the rest of mobile games are giving some really good competition too

Bro my Cricket 24 keeps crashing constantly all the time. I bought Game Pass for it but it just doesn't work. Every 15 20 minutes it just crashes. Windows Event Viewer says there's some ucrtbase.dll error don't know what to do. Had the same issue with Cricket 22. Every other game works perfectly.

Plenty! First of all, the batting should be smoother. I mean the flow is missing while playing the shot. Also, you don't quire feel the weight behind the ball when hitting. If you look at DBC 14 the batting in that game was near perfect! The first slip is useless at the moment when you are bowling. Not a single catch goes towards first slip when you are bowling pace. AI against spin in test matches - still poor. But I don't think we are gonna get any of these now. I expect only a few cosmetic updates from now like updates rosters or jerseys!

@ big ant already shared few months before on twitter that arcade controls wont provide total challenge in batting. You will get less edges, and overall the gameplay would be easier. I have been on pro since day one and batting with proper sliders ha been pretty challenging in test matches. Try it out!

Low rated players are supposed to struggle early on not get high scores - realistically. Thats the same with career modes everywhere you start of low and then build towards it. If you bat like Bradman from the beginning the fun is lost. For what you mentioned, you could do the STAR PLAYER career mode. I think you would prefer that more
