Nearly everything that was said about Kraid applies to Ridley as well. 1. Laughably non threatening appearance in their debut 2. Nightmare creature in their second appearance 3. Updated in the remake to be the nightmare creature they became in later games.

And here I was expecting Gyorg from the Majora's Mask remake. In the original, he was just a giant fish with a weird humanish eye and some sharp teeth. In the remaster, he's still a giant fish, but now he has a skull-like head with dead, normal eyes, and A GIANT FREAKING EYE IN HIS MOUTH THAT FOLLOWS YOUR EVERY MOVE. *shudders*

When Aladdin let the Genie down in the animated movie, the Genie got openly angry with him. In the remake he just quietly and sadly says "you're breaking my heart." I don't think he yells once in the entire movie.

Originally clowns didn't have full face make-up. The original clowns apparently just had some light red face paint on their cheeks. So originally clowns didn't resemble or remind people of corpses, they just reminded people of drunk people.

She has a very vivid memory of going to the circus as a kid in the late 60s and the clowns came into the audience to get kids for their act and they took a kid next to her who didn’t want to go and was practically dragged away screaming.

The SNES Metroid even taunts you about the Kraid bulk-up! Just before the room where the real, several-screens-high Kraid is waiting, you fight a small version of him, likely his offspring, which plays out very similar to the NES fight. When you kill it, the door opens up and... Well, you find out papa Kraid is big as a building, and severely pissed!

While ur comment is correct, the fact that snes super Metroid kraid fight was completely ignored in favour of the 2002 version is a slight kick in da n*ts for Metroid fans, considering that kraid is 2 full screens tall in super Metroid, a game that supersedes the 2002 GBA zero mission.

I feel that a couple of these were only in here based on very specific phobias. The genie in Link's Awakening is only scary if you are afraid of clowns, and the the spider in Resident Evil only if you are arachnophobic. And, honestly, while it is more detailed in the remake, I find the design of the torso boss more unnerving in the original Tomb Raider.

While he's not exactly going from meh to terrifying, Mr X got a serious upgrade to his abilities in the ability to use doors. In the original you would get attacked and just go, "oh no not Mr X" *leaves room* "ah, that was a challenge, he almost got within hitting range". And I don't think I need to describe the new tyrant...

Honestly, they still couldn't believe it when it did happen. They had filmed another video on "Games that deserve a sequel" which included F Zero. And before it was released, F-Zero 99 came out, leading to an extra clip of Luke going "WHAT THE HELL?" I say the Genie in another video, "Games we want sequels for" was listening in because that's where Luke actually did ask for F Zero. And not just F Zero, but a Battle Royale F Zero,.

Marluxia just has the weird final mech form in the gba version , but in the remake he has another form in which he has a GIANT ANGEL OF DEATH behind him and can take away your entire deck of cards plus one shot you if you dont break his sleighs over and over again... The boss fight in TR: Anniversary may have been more difficult, but TR 1996 was much scarier in general. The limited graphics and sound design only made the jumpscares more effective. And Anniversary was toned down to fit a younger audience. They even got rid of the pulsating flesh walls!

To me the best Spyro is the original trilogy Spyro. I still remember the headaches from trying to get through the tree top zones. Especially, Especially when you had to hug the turns and jump just perfectly. But I just noticed how it went from 1 spider to 2 in the updated graphics version.

Aaaaah....good old Torso Boss.....still remember how me and my sister freaked out the first time we saw it (we are always playing TR together, gotta uphold some traditions ;D) after the first shock passed me and my sister finally started to fight it and I came up with a weird nickname for it that made us laugh so hard the this thing simply threw us over the edge XD Obviously we retried our attempt to defeat the boss and next thing that happened...it swallowed Lara ...will never forget that - we really freaked out at that point and made sure to keep a good fair amount of distance to it afterwards. (also it took me about 7 years to learn that the boss is actually called "Torso boss" even tho it makes perfect sense)
