Wonderful series from the days when the BBC knew how to make television that was interesting, intelligent, witty and professional. Lovely guests and captained by F. Muir, P Campbell, A. Marshall et al who were just made for this role .❤

Bates 1013am 15.10.24 not a case of intelligent tv. it's merely the fact that it's laid back and less than hysterical in comparison to nowadays tv. i mean, david mitchell is, seemingly, intelligent enough to carry off a conversation but this show's counterpart, would i lie to you? is teeming with hysteria and garishly vapid. sign of the times.
