Quality all the way through. Just wonderful to watch

Here's my predictable complaint about things being better back when I didn't have to get up to pee five times a night. I note that the music was better roughly around the time I gained some independance and became sexual active too. Guess I should be thankful to have grown up in the best era ever :D

Watching this show that I remember from my youth, it reminds me that ""Would I like to You" is almost a direct copy of the show, but a slight variation.

Felicity Kendal? Outlandishly gorgeous 🎉

As very young children we would watch this and laugh along with our parents. We knew only one person was telling the truth even if we didn’t have a clue who it was, the descriptions probably went over our young heads but the premise of the game didn’t. Fond memories of Frank Muir being a favourite.

Every Monday evening on BBC 4 (Channel 9), I have been enjoying the repeats of a 1974 series of "Call My Bluff".

It's only just struck me watching this how very much Tim Rice and James May resemble each other facially.... Both lovely 😊

Love these posts but just a little confused why some episodes start halfway through the episode..?

Thiank you! This is why I added numbers in front of the title, they follow one another. There are playlists, if you open the playlist the videos follow each other in their normal order.

Ah, we all know which Tom we're getting here. It's the pretend posh one, who you would assume had been to university, and who hung around with Daniel Farson and Francis Bacon.

Luckily for you, it doesn't happen that often; Frank's team does seem to win more often (I'm wishing I'd kept a spreadsheet now.. hmm, maybe I'll have to do a rewatch and keep score :) )

I think this was a time when guests on quiz shows were really invested in the quizzes and not there for the exposure, also they demand to be given the answers beforehand so they won't appear stupid.

I usually don't like commenting on people's looks ... but as everyone else is doing it ..... Jenny is that "girl next door" who we all wished for as a neighbour. Even her voice soothes me and calms my beating heart. She has that kind of wholesome beauty that could make a Bishop kick in a stained glass window just to gaze upon her. If she walked into your pub, all the men would turn, go silent, and drink deep. Jenny, thank you for existing.

35:39 Whoever was writing these alternative definitions, well done for his/her knowledge and consonant playfulness. There is actually a (sacred) month called _Muharram_ in the Islamic calendar. As regards beauty and musical talent in the Drake Family: You should see photographs of young Molly Drake (mother of Gabrielle and Nick) and hear her 1950s home recordings too --released as a compilation album in 2013.

Re-watching my DVD set of "The Good Life" at the moment, one of the best British sitcoms ever made imo. It's as funny and charming today as it was back in the 70s and it's wholesome nature is a much needed breath of fresh air when compared to most of what gets broadcast today.
