Just so you know the song We are Never Ever getting back together wasn't written because Jake tried to get back together with Taylor per say. She has told the story repeatedly (without mentioning which guy it was about) the story of why she wrote it. One of the exe's friends come up to her and said I heard you two were getting back together. The song was her way of squashing that rumor. She told her exe's friend that wasn't true. It is a song more about the rumor mill and how people were going around telling other people she was getting back together with this guy. Which wasn't true.
