A little about Fashion and Style Edit
I launched fashion and style edit just over a year ago and it's been one amazing adventure ever since. I hoped to put all my years working in the fashion industry to good use. How to style outfits and advice and fashion tips on how to get the most out of your own capsule wardrobe. I love discovering new brands, designers and affordable high street fashion, but I always veer towards the more sustainable fashion and ethical brands. I try to buy well, I want my and your clothes to last as long as possible.

I would think about two things when selecting which bag to keep. 1) Which one will you get more wear out of. 2) Which one would fill a gap in your current bag/purse wardrobe. Both are choices are lovely. I love the whole collection. Would be nice to be able to access from Canada.

What a practical video.Nowadays when I buy a bag my intention is have a bag that can transcend occasions as well as outfit choices and Polène has that nailed. Everytime I look at the website or see them in videos I imagine an all female design team behind it because the bags are so well designed that there has to be a woman behind the brand.What a laugh it would be if it were the opposite.

Numero Un Nano is my fave! I have it in smooth camel color. Their quality is excellent.

I finally switched over to a small wallet (purse), to make it easier to use smaller bags. It’s one of the few things I always carry (plus keys, phone, lipstick/balm, tissue and sunglasses), so I make sure that these basics fit in all my bags. I have had losses during the pandemic ($200 cash once!) when I just put some cards, cash and license in my bag, so I always use my wallet now. Evening bags can be a bit smaller, no sunglasses needed.

Personally I won’t wear a big bag with a long strap because I tend to put in more items mindlessly (and it get heavier) and a longer strap also means the bag would feel heavier as opposed to one that’s a shoulder bag carried closer to the body. So it’s either a long strap small to medium sized bag or a big tote bag/shoulder bag to be comfortable!

Very nice review! Good to see someone who has the same passion for this brand. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this bag for the first time. My first was Numero Un in monochrome black , love it so much! Then I ordered Un mini in pale pink, it’s actually move peachy nude like ballet slippers. Very feminine and versatile . I am going to keep it for spring summer. And now ( I know, it’s sounds insane) I ordered Un mini in blue with suede So my verdict - Numero Un is my favorite .

Hi. Jess! Sorry I haven’t been commenting. I’ve been ill the last two Sundays to the point that the pain was so debilitating I couldn’t walk.As I have several chronic illnesses it’s not unexpected but is still an inconvenience. Anyway, I love this brand Polène. It is so chic and has a unique and identifiable look. Of course I want the Numéro Un in a rainbow of colors! I like the mini and nano as well. That’s so true, they’ve really worked hard to keep their prices affordable. Without losing any of the quality or style, just not such a giant margin I guess as some of the other designer brands! Definitely one I’d recommend 😘

I’m not hugely precious about my handbags, I have 3 boys and real life must go on! And everything I’ve ever had from Polene looks as good as new. Even the tote bag which I have a tendency to over stuff still looks beautiful. I don’t know how they’ve done it but they never seem to scratch? Beautiful selection Jess! If you can have all of them you're set with any and every outfit! The Chalk Hobo bag would be my preference for you, not the the other isn't just as lovely, but for me personally the chain all the way round, usually ends up hurting my shoulder. If it had a small leather piece where it sits on your shoulder, then I would get both haha! Have a lovely weekend Jess! xxx

I think I would choose the small Numero Un, only because I’m not a fan of deep bags, like the hobo. I find it easier to retrieve things from bags that are more landscape than portrait, so to speak. Thanks for this review, it’s really helpful. I love the one that’s the hexagonal bucket shape, but I don’t know if I would like a drawstring closure.

I've got a Seven Two Tone (tan) and I love it and a Eight (8) in Bordeaux wich I love it also. Even though it contains a lot, the lack of pocket or compatment inside alongside it's pyramidal shape, Makes it not super pratical.

Great video! Thanks. To be honest I have just bought the numero sept in grained black leather rather than the numero dix! Shame your video has just been posted. If I were to buy an additional bag at some point could you let me know a little more about the numero dix „hobo“, the zip and entry area in and out of the bag doesn’t look practical. For example, how easy is it getting your phone out of the bag when it is ringing? Is it a very stiff leather and opening? Always look forward to your videos and the white dress looks stunning on you.

Hi Lisa, thanks so much for getting in touch. My Le Cabas tote is in the taupe and I feel it’s more on the grey end of the scale rather than brown. It’s difficult to explain and unfortunately everyone’s screens show different shades but I do think Polene’s website gives really true indications of how the tones look in real life 👌🏻 Hope that helps lovely x

How soft is the leather? And how is the weight? I’m so over some of the pebble textured leather purses that are stiff and feel very heavy before you even put anything in them. They are all beautiful

I like Polene bags very much, and have the bucket bag in Carmel, however, I really don't like the fact that they don't offer free returns in the UK, I think if you're going to operate in the UK, then it's only fair to offer a free reutrns policy, like everyone else.
